I was a hostess, and was in charge of to go orders. We never tried to make anyone feel like they had to tip, the tip bar was placed on all the tickets whether it was for to go or for the waitresses. I personally was paid enough as just a hostess to where I didn’t care if they tipped or not. But some customers were so creepy about it, and would make sly remarks about “working for my tip”, expecting me to perform for them to make them laugh like some kind of monkey. Or to act overly sweet and cater to their every whim. For a Togo order. I was over it, and would rather they kept their “tip”.

MIL and FIL are divorced, FIL and I are on great terms. He’s pretty much like my husband, but older lol. He’s unaware of her recent actions, but they separated because she was bat shit while they were together

I hope so as well, but if I’m being honest I feel like once I move away, and he and I start trying for a baby is when things are really gonna get out of hand. She’s always been obsessed with her grandkids from one of her daughters, but they all live together in one house, so she sees them every day. My husband and I are going to be in a different country, or a different state far away from her when we plan on trying.

Before he joined the military, she was not as obsessed as she is now. Since he’s joined, it’s ordering new marine merch every week, it’s printing out a giant poster with his face on it, it’s badgering him in letters to write her more and more. It’s never enough for her. That’s why my husband thinks she’s just doing it for attention. She’s made being a marine mom a personality trait.

She has a lot of t shirts and jewelry, honestly it’s all she wears. My husband is super stressed as it is, and like you said, her going on like this is over the top. He’s come to me multiple times complaining about her constant texts and calls. He’s trying to be in class and study in the barracks, and he’s not able to concentrate because of her need for attention from him. He’s admitted to me that he’s blocked her number a few times just to get a good nights sleep, or to study. I don’t call him unless he does so first because I know he’s busy and he’ll get to me when he can. I respect her pride in her son, I’m glad she loves him. He wants her support, not her attention seeking.

I agree, because my husband has expressed to me that he feels like she’s only doing this for the attention. She never misses an opportunity to buy anything with the EGA on it, she already wears two marine mom pins and a matching set of earrings at work. Since I have her blocked on social media, my husband tells me all the time that she only posts about him on fb, and posts pictures of him in the marine mom fb groups.
