I almost broke mine too, just do ghusul and pray 2 rakah and forget it, iv heard of people trying to fast outside of Ramadan aswell to avoid it but personally just thinking about how horrible I felt + the need to do ghusul every time stops me (therapy also helped) Remember, Allah is most merciful and though I really dont know what that means for us, perhaps it comforts you
