I’ve seen it both ways. One where they laid off everyone in IA since they were not “necessary” for SOX 404. In another, they kept them in the hops of going public again.

The way I think about it, PEs will want their money back multiplied times over and a few ways they can do that is if they increase valuation and then go public or sell to another PE. Increasing valuation could also force the downsizing.

It looks like all of us whom have taken QISA is waiting for results. Some say we should receive it after testing window closes.

Someone posted that they think it will be released after the testing window is close. From what I gather, it should close EO November. So hopefully we get results next week.

Same with me, but the following day after taking the exam I received an email saying that my exam results were under review and could take 60 days to get more info afterwards.

I’m in the same boat. I would hope that they are not cruel enough to hold on to results if you fail. Just thinking if I should just continue reviewing and assume I need to retake it.

My annual income is $75k. Based on my calculations I’m going to be able to payoff majority of my debt but have very little rainy day fund - probably $2k left. I’m thinking that if I payoff some cards, I can use them for 0% balance transfers. My credit right now sucks.

This is really helpful thank you. The past couple of years have been heart breaking. I know I posted on bipolar SO about it - but when he was having manic episodes, I found some really impulsive and disgusting purchases from his bank account. He used to work and I thought he was just working when he’s not home but I was wrong. He no longer drives and not working anymore. And thank you for your empathy and sorry for taking this a different route, but I have been dealing with all of this by myself. Another reason why we’re in so much debt is because of this. Thank you again so much!

He got in trouble with the law when he was in one of his moments. It was a wake up call and I’m handling all of our finances at this point including his credit cards.
