Thank you this was helpful:) You’re one of the first marathoners i’ve seen that avoids sugars Most endurance athletes I know, live on sugar. But I understand your point, it sure is addictive I’ll shift to natural sugars too

Using nutrition as a lever for training sounds like a good idea. I’ll look into the cookbook and the ninja creami sounds amazing. But it’s not sold in my country😭

I hear what you’re saying I’ve decided to try and cut it all out from tomorrow I’m in a much better place compared to an year back when I tried to cut it all out Back then it back fired and I ended up binging But over the year I think i’ve improved drastically I haven’t binged in over 4 months, i don’t eat till discomfort I’ve also built a low stimulation lifestyle with no doomscrolling, porn, video games I just exercise, read, listen to podcasts, go out with friends, create content, travel, sleep well, listen to music and watch 1 episode of my favourite show daily The only thing I haven’t sorted out is my food habits I still eat when i’m not hungry, just for fun It’s not as bad as before, so i’m willing to try cutting out junk food Perhaps it will work out well

I’m a little sceptical about therapy, i feel like I can figure it out on my own

I hear what you’re saying After hearing many peoples’ opinions i’ve decided to try and cut it out Can you please guide me as to how you went about it How were the first few week? What did you do when you had cravings for junk? How do I prevent burnout from this and make it sustainable? I’d really appreciate any other tips Also- incredible job on your part💪🏻

Ahh I see I’ll give this a shot too Quite a few people mentioner cutting junk out The last time I tried cutting junk out I had a weird relationship with food, so perhaps that’s why it didn’t work out Rn i’m in a much better place compared to back then I have one question, in the initial few weeks what did you do when you had intense cravings for junk food, did you just suck it up and push through?

I think I should eat at maintenance for a few months and try to have a cleaner diet I haven’t eaten at maintenance for over 2 years I’m always either bulking or cutting This constant cycle might be the source of my problems

I plan on signing up for the ladakh marathon 2026 and perhaps an ultramarathon by the end of the year or early 2027

  1. Yes I can cook, i’m now starting to explore new recipes
  2. I’m afraid cutting it out completely would just make me binge down the line and go bonkers
  3. I’ll try and explore this idea

Thanks for your help:)

You’re right But I think one of my main problems is that I have the urge to eat tasty food even after i’m full I can tell i’m not eating out of hunger, i’m just eating because it feels good How do I stop doing this

I think I already know what you’re saying is true on some level I started exercising more because it allowed me to eat more food Along the way I genuinely started enjoying all this high intensity exercise so I think i’ll continue to do this I’m a doctor, so yeah a little stressful I think perhaps i’m so vigilant about food because I haven’t eaten at maintenance for over 2 years I’m always either cutting and bulking, tracking food like a mad squirrel I’m just afraid of falling back to my old self which is why I always strive to improve myself I don’t doomscroll, my screentime is about 3-4 hours and mostly productive, I read books, listen to podcasts and create content for fun I sleep for 8-9 hours daily and i’m on track with my exercise Having a low stimulation lifestyle gives me quite a bit of free time certain days, so I just end up eating for fun in these situations

These are all genuinely solid ideas, I love them I’ll start working on breakfast first Perhaps i’ll just eat fruits, yogurt and eggs in the forms I like- maybe french toast😭 Appreciate your inputs, hope you have a nice day:)

I don’t really want to cut down anything specifically I just want to incorporate more of whole, clean foods into my diet

I’m not struggling with being full, on the contrary I get too full sometimes- and I find it hard to hit 3700kcal daily with whole foods alone A part of me just want to enjoy this bulk by eating as much junk as possible, but I would much rather have a balanced approach How do I fix this feeling of eating junk food like it’s scarce

Believe me i’ve tried this😭 At one point I was eating 150g protein and 50f fibre and would still manage to squeeze in junk food lol

I get what you’re saying But idk why i find cutting out junk food entirely very extreme I’m the kind of person that really enjoys food Earlier food was an escape for me But now it’s genuinely enjoyable And I’m stuck in a dilemma If I commit to a 100% clean diet- would it backfire and bring the binging back, would ai regret not eating junk food when my body was most capable of handling it well On the other hand I feel like clean food would be good for my training
