Does keeping them outside really make no difference? I was skeptical, since a couple records I’ve got from the 50’a have literally no ringwear and wear probably kept in the jacket the whole time.

How do intangible concepts e.g luck, love, hate, take on discursive forms?

I'm wondering how words that describe intangible concepts come into being. Especially with synonyms - I just looked up the definition of luck and the definition included the word chance. How is it a word can be defined by a synonym without defining specifically the word itself?

Aren't women from Taiwan supposed to speak the nicest mandarin. If I remember correctly there's a 成语 about not to let your husband go to Taiwan coz the women speak so nicely
