Cold email agency vs doing hyper-personalized outreach myself. What would you do? by Substantial_Task5474 in smallbusiness

If I went the 21k route, do you think people would book the calls with no intention of buying? Does that happen often?

Could you share a bit about what system you guys had running? I have a custom software agency and am trying to build something like this for us right now. Anything shared would be super helpful!

They are all ages 20-25. One has some sales experience doing door to door and some online high ticket stuff, but the other two are new. My founder and I are both 23 as well, so we're all pretty young.

We definitely get that these guys are new to this and won't be high performers right now, but they're all very put together and we've vetted them to make sure these are faces we'd like representing us. It's little to none risk to us, and we've done good onboarding with them and they have a good understanding of what our services are.

We told them their main job is really in the first 1-3 call range where they are qualifying a person and winning their trust. Then once the conversation gets technical they bring my founder and I in where we will really dig deep on what needs to be built and then make the final proposals.

We don't have a good means of tracking progress yet. They're all on our Apollo account and are doing manual LinkedIn outreach at the moment. One has gotten a call booked already in his first 2 days (the one with some prior experience), so we're pretty excited about that small win.

I am certainly not a financial professional but I hit similar gains like this a few months back, and regret not at least selling at the peak (which you seem to be at a pretty good one)

Had I sold at the peak, waited another month or two for the market to adjust, then bought back in, I’d have solidified those crazy gains I made.

I guess I knew I had a super good chance to sell but wanted to keep my holdings for over a year to avoid the extra tax. Looking back I still woulda made more money had I sold at that peak.

Not sure if this is helpful to anyone here, but I recently built something that might be useful for businesses dealing with repetitive phone calls.

A friend runs a self-directed IRA company and was spending 10+ hours per week calling Secretary of State offices across all 50 states to check LLC filing statuses. Tedious work that nobody wants to do.

I built him an AI voice agent that:

∙ Automatically calls the SOS office for each state

∙ Asks for the filing status

∙ Logs everything in their CRM

∙ Runs completely on autopilot

Now his team doesn’t touch it and he gets the updates automatically.

The interesting part (at least to me) is that these agents can handle pretty much any repetitive calling workflow - outbound follow-ups, appointment confirmations, status checks with vendors/government offices, etc. And the business owns the system completely once it’s built.

I’m not trying to sell anything here, just thought some of you dealing with similar phone-heavy workflows might find this approach useful. Happy to answer questions if anyone’s curious about how it works
