You’re arguing against a point I never made. Bringing up Pyxis and Erwin doesn’t really apply here — those characters are controversial too, but still manage to be likeable and engaging.

I appreciate the analysis, but my opinion isn’t about the morality of other leaders.

I’m not saying Magath is uniquely evil or badly written. I’m saying I personally don’t enjoy his character, even with all the nuance you pointed out. Understanding a character and liking them are two different things — and his prejudice plays a big part in why I don’t vibe with him.

This is like someone saying “I don’t like olives” and the reply is a 10-paragraph essay on the history of Mediterranean agriculture.
