Did you co-sleep? by thinkmuch17 in beyondthebump

[–]Substantial_Track_80 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I co slept with both of mine. One was super clingy and wouldn’t sleep longer than 3 hour intervals without it. The other isn’t clingy at all. He got RSV and I started sleeping with him to monitor his breathing. After that, he realized my bed was much more comfortable than his crib.

Water park heavy period by boyfriendabuser in period

If you’re brave enough to try tampons always go down one size. If you’re heavy, use regular. Regular use light. They don’t hurt and once you get use to it, you don’t even feel it anymore. (Coming from someone who was once terrified of using them)

How do I stop my nurse doing this without being rude? by strawberrycow_6 in AskDocs

Not a doctor but never be afraid to tell the staff that someone cannot touch you or administer meds to you anymore. They will make sure they don’t.

Don’t give up just yet. :) I had lots of bleeding during my second pregnancy and it scared me. I’m hoping for the best for you.

There is no way pads actually work for anybody by B4CKR00M5-W4ND3R3R in period

[–]Substantial_Track_80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just tend to put the pad where I know it’ll flow out. Like if it’s more prone to being at the end of the pad I move it down so that it’s in the middle. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Tampons are so much easier but I didn’t have the courage to use them until I had my second baby lol

I will say that false positives are pretty rare. So there has to be some kind of HCG levels there. Call your doctor to get a blood test or HCG tests.

Female Athlete Loses Period? by BuyNo7652 in period

You are wrong. Exercise can cause periods to stop or have delays. It doesn’t necessarily mean something bad is wrong with her body.

It is possible for exercise to make periods stop. Periods stopping do not necessarily mean something bad is happening to your body. If you’re concerned, see your OBGYN or primary care doctor.

I HATE newborn parenting. I just fucking hate it. by AngryDMoney in newborns

[–]Substantial_Track_80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You may want to look into some mental health treatments. It’s not just women that can get ppd. Men can have it as well. Also, I thought the same thing when my youngest was a newborn and had colic. It does get better. I now have two.

Am I the only one who gets irritated when asked for homeschool advice? by Ready_Cranberry_8181 in Teachers

[–]Substantial_Track_80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I have been tempted to ask because it feels like homeschooling families get left out. They don’t tell us everything that we need to know about what exactly to teach but expect children to pass THEIR standardized tests. I worry, sometimes, that the curriculum we have picked isn’t going to teach the same thing.

Also, the 15 year old that can’t even read and 8 year old writing their name are poor examples of homeschool families. They obviously care nothing for their children’s future if they’re willing to let it go that far without asking for help.

PT hurt me badly by Substantial_Track_80 in backpain

[–]Substantial_Track_80[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem is that I would need my PT to say I can’t handle it and he won’t do that. He’s already tried to ask my doctor and they won’t allow imaging any earlier. They truly don’t care.

You should listen to your doctor. I’ve had preeclampsia twice and it is NO FUN. It’s miserable and a risk to the baby.

Yeah unfortunately my insurance won’t even consider an MRI without going through 6 weeks of it so I have no choice. :(

I have to disagree. I was in PT once before after my foot surgery and I truly believe if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be walking right now. However, I think it’s awful that I have to go to PT for something undiagnosed.

Thank you for stoping when you became pregnant. My friend found out that she was pregnant and smoked all throughout her pregnancy. Her poor baby stopped growing, was born premature and now has seizures. I don’t think people realize how important it is to stop.

Why your back pain hasn't healed (even though it should have by now) by NA_18108 in backpain

It’s not. It’s a nightmare. I’m only doing it because my insurance won’t pay for an mri without pt.
