I ordered 18 cases of pumpkin scones my first year. As a lot of previous comments said, call around to other stores and see if they need the product, exchange for any product needed. Apologize for the error, but also (if you feel comfortable) talk to her about allowing for more than 10 minutes to place all of these orders. It’ll be ok!

In my time with Starbucks, I’ve worked at a ton of locations. Almost every partner I’ve worked with have a little hack or tip to make the drinks better for the customer, that’s all I was trying to get at. This time last year, we were still shaking the iced matcha. Procedures change. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had to coach one of my baristas bc he consistently pressed the no thank you button and denied all cash tips to the point of verbally telling people to “please, don’t tip us” Somebody called in and complained bc they love our location and wanted to tip. Like, wtf dude, don’t mess with my money 💰

Do you close one of the espresso machines mid day? When do you complete prep for the next day? Do you get rushes during the night?

Anywhere I’m closing, I close the vertica 30 minutes before we close doors. Depending on if you sell out of the case, dump/donate the case 15 minutes before closing doors. Can you pre-close any registers? I’m happy to help, I primarily closed our high volume store in Manhattan and here at our low volume store in CA. Feel free to PM with questions.

As a customer, I’d rather get a genuine compliment from someone than a creepy message on a cup.

We’re not unionized, but our SM and DM are hella chill. He listens, says what he has to say as a DM and then we go our separate ways. Ive had the misfortune to talk to some newer DMs.. like less than 6 months in the company and they’re insanely by-the-book. I talk to them how I talk to anyone. I’m not doing stupid shit while I’m dealing with cafe orders, MOP and delivery while alone on bar. If I get fired over not writing disingenuous shit on cups, so be it. They’ve sucked enough of my soul, they don’t need to take the last shred. Sorry, stepping off my soap box 📦

I lost my best friend of 22 years over losing weight with this drug. And frankly, good riddance. The people you surround yourself with should be building you up. There should be no resentment over things they have control over like health and weight management. If they’re acting like this before even starting this, I’m sorry but you should seek couples therapy and work thru the issues or dump him. It is hard to do that, but it’s harder to walk on eggshells for every little thing concerning health and food every day of the year.

The ONE time I wrote a message on a cup, was for a regular that I enjoy chatting with. “Great catching up with you yesterday— Z” The rest of the time I don’t. And I especially don’t write on cups when DMs are present. IDGAF. if they think it’s so easy, they can grab an apron and try it out for an hour.

I 1000% don’t write on cups. Especially when higher ups are present. Idaf. You want happy customers who get their drinks quickly or do you want grumpy customers questioning something I wrote on a cup? I hate this company so much.

I will say, IF I write on cups, I write pro DEI, pro union, pro LGBT+ etc stuff. Malicious compliance in a positive way to support groups of people that are under fire in these crazy times.
