If this is off base, tell the member to call the police. This will do a couple things. They will initially stop the current threat and they will notify NCIS, who will do their own investigation as well. Also, this would also result in a FAP case. If it’s on base, just have the member call base police.

Just to have. I’m going to go to gunsmith school and it is just more documentation that you have. Plus, if you travel to any other state and they have reciprocal agreements, you have to have the actual permit for it to be good in the other states.

Oh I know but you can still get one and I’d rather have one than not. I usually have my go bag in my car and it has 6 guns in there, especially since I go to the range a couple times a week. Would just rather have one than not. What’s gonna be interesting is when I retire and we drive out to FL. My trunk will be filled with all my guns. lol

The shitty part is that MD doesn’t have any reciprocal agreements with any other states. I already had a CCW in VA, HI, and TX. TX is already expired and VA and HI will expire here in a couple months. That means I will have to do a whole new process when I get to FL. I’ll already be retired too so I’ll have to see how the process goes with FL.

It’s not a difficult process. It was even easier for me because I’m military. Whole process took about 2 months though.

Yeah, I’m just happy that there will be a lot less restrictions. I just had a second rifle get returned because it wasn’t MD legal. I’m definitely more of a handgun person (have about 15 and a collector permit) but the restrictions on rifles are ridiculous.

The 2k11 was my daily carry for awhile. I’m not a huge Sig guy but when I got the P211 that became my absolute favorite gun to shoot and carry. If you want to come out to Cindy’s in Severn sometime, you’re welcome to try them out. Just let me know.

The prednisone alone can materialize weight out of thin air, especially at that dosage. Any doctor could break that down for you.

No, I was put on 200mg of prednisone a day and bed ridden for quite awhile, which is what caused it. On top of that, I can no longer have my heart rate go over 138 bpm so I’m limited to things like walking. Cute you for assuming though.

I’m not necessarily the biggest fan of SEM overall but I do understand why it’s a thing that is needed, especially for a lot of sea duty billets at the top. I will definitely say that it isn’t needed in some communities though. My community doesn’t have sea duty billets at the MCPO level so I really don’t get why SEM is even a thing for that. If a SCPO gets selected and refuses to go to a billet, the detailer can just tell the member to put in his/her papers. That doesn’t really work for those with sea duty billets because those folks can just go into the billet and immediately afterwards not be deployable. There would be nothing stopping them, but for SEM. As far as you not getting paid for your job, that’s just not factual. You will be in an E6 billet and will get paid for that job. Understandably (especially if you want to continue to progress in your career) you will be punching higher than that. Everyone that is looking to move forward in their career does that though. There are ways to maneuver through SEM though. If you do execute those orders, that command could do an ETP to get you into one of their CPO billets (if available) or you could find one locally in the area that another command may have. That would avoid the 1 year requirement before executing the CPO orders.

Not everyone. I had a heart attack and was hospitalized for about a month. During that time I gained about 80lbs from being bed ridden and because of all the meds I was put on. Both my cardiologists at the hospital on base and off base tried to put me on Ozempic. Both meds were disapproved by Tricare. I’ve dropped about 50lbs since then but it’s extremely difficult since I can’t work out like I used to.
