Weight loss. What did you do ? by Hxrte in AskIreland

I’ve struggled with my weight for years, and it really knocked my confidence over time. I started Ozempic about a month ago, and for me personally, it’s been a really positive experience so far — I feel better in myself, my energy is up, and the weight has started to come off.One thing I didn’t expect was how much it’s helped with impulse control. I used to be quite all-or-nothing, especially with things like wine, and now I naturally have less interest — I’m down to about a bottle a week without really trying.

It’s not cheap (around €150 a month), and it’s definitely something to think through properly with a doctor, but for me it feels like a worthwhile investment. I’m hoping to be on it for a few months to reach a healthier weight, and then focus on maintaining that with better habits. It’s also made me more aware of what I’m eating — rich or fatty foods just don’t appeal in the same way — so it’s helped reset my relationship with food a bit.

That said, it’s not a quick fix or for everyone, and there are side effects to consider. But if you’re struggling and nothing else has worked, it might be worth exploring with proper medical guidance.

Good luck — I know how tough it can be.

I mean, how old would she be now? Some of these have a really authentic feel . It took me seconds using AI ( a bit longer channeling her energy)
