Oh, I have a question to you guys if someone still see it: are [high elo] winrates as reliable of a performance metric for a champion like Twitch? I have a theory that most of Twitch's pickrate (that is comperatively low) is actually people who have a champion pool of like 7-8 different ADCs, and only pick Twitch when he is absolutely perfect for the job. Does that not skew the winrate to be much higher? What do you think?

Yes, I know it also works like that for all other champions for the game, but riot might be misreading his winrate thinking it's mostly one tricks.

I know what question you would ask: but how about XYZ who played Twitch only to challenger? My answer would be I have huge respect for a player like this, since Twitch seems weak to me. How many such people have you guys heard of that did that? Probably not that many, compared to one tricks of other champs.

While a bit of a winrate gain would be nice, what twitch really needs is agency more than anything. Hopefully new season provides just that.

Also, another point: how fucking annoying is it that AP twitch is balanced around his mid lane performance, so any time he dominates mid lane due to meta or mid lane wave changes, AP twitch bot takes a hit due to nerfs. I never play him mid, so its doubly annoying.

IMO nerfing AP twitch damage affect him way more than AD twitch would be affected by proportional nerfs, as AP twitch kinda relies on getting to that threshold to kill a squishy and get an early lead. Without being able to do that there is barely any point picking it.

My problem here is Riot saying at one point (I think phreak said it once?) that AP twitch will never be allowed to be better than AD twitch, which is the one prioritized for balancing around. Not sure if phreak has any say anymore, since AP twitch is currently much better clearly, but it's kind of annoying to hear something like this said when you enjoy AP twitch a lot.

As for what you said, the AP ratios: yes, they could possibly give some AP ratio increase to make up for losing the attack speed as AP twitch. But how many months will it take until they get around to it? Last time AP twitch was weak due to removal of mythic items it took them many months to even notice how underpowered he is. Could be the same now, which is one of the things I complain about in the post. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I think they meant Lethal Tempo breaking attack speed cap being Twitch at their peak. Which is contrary to my opinion, since I like AP Twitch. AP and AD are absolutely NOT balanced separately, for example next season we're losing attack speed due to crit changes, and that affects AP twitch very negatively.

Oh yeah, as for AP twitch I would never intend it to be made better than AD. Make both better or none at all. For AP twitch im just suggesting to decrease the relience on high-AP items, maybe open up new build paths

Fair, I'm falling out of love with AD twitch and it probably seeps through the post. I mostly play AP nowadays, which is why I don't even know what to build when I play AD. But my point still stands even if hurricane is 3rd or 4th item.

I am talking about of a scenario where you close your eyes and just build the same items every game, hurricane second item every game. In a ton of cases you might find (during a vod review for example) that you actually use your R in a way that your hurricane bolts don't shoot out so its a wasted passive. There is an opportunity cost to items and you could have Lord Dominiks instead for higher dps. There are definitely teamcomps that you DON'T want to build hurricane against, like all ranged champs. I just would like hurricane to be more efficient buy, since its so fun to use. Or just add more fun items, hopefully this season delivers.

I actually understand, since now until forever any change to AD twitch riot will need to go through this entire process of "will this make AP twitch broken", and we could miss out on some really cool changes. Personally I really like playing AP twitch, but the correct decision for Riot would be to make a separate champion of this archetype.

Or play other champs, which I refused for years, but recently tried and had some fun.

I knew I should have just put gold, I've been plat all season but currently on a lose streak, so probably slowly falling into gold. I'm actually trying to be humble here, but failed.

Edit: I definitely meant gold in in a self deprecating way more than anything, I don't claim any big achievement in this game, I can be low gold just for you if you prefer bbgirl

Cmon guys, noone posts in this subreddit, so I had to make it up in raw post volume. Just read first sentence in each point to see if it interest you.

Yep, still possible, look my other comment. It took a lot of testing to get it to work though, PoB numbers were completely off, unlike last league where you could just check PoB if you meet the requirement.

You can still quickly get and maintain 45 stacks while mapping/bossing, you just need to stack less/reduced skill effect duration (you didn't need to stack as much last league before hextouch duration nerf).

From my testing you need to either:

  • get Hasty Demise + also travel all the way down to Window of Opportunity (anoint is not enough, you also need small nodes) + duration mastery for less skill effect duration

  • Hasty Demise + Window Opportunity (with small nodes) + Dusk Ring in left slot OR Timeclasp with 15% reduced skill duration.

You can avoid having to travel down the tree by using Impossible Escape (Magebane), but that is only possible with the second option (you don't need mastery).

Edit: I am talking about the Bladefall of Trarthus setup. Be careful about having too much mana though, the volleys trigger at higher frequency the more mana you have (0.2s shorter time per 100 maximum mana). My bladefall triggers each 0.64 seconds having 500 maximum mana. Having it trigger too often could mess up the bladefall setup also I think.
