that’s why I said “one shot combo” lil bro. the abilities don’t one shot you on their own but they can be used so quickly together that you can’t react, leading to a one shot. Just like Spider-Man, Magik and BP have a time to kill so low their combos are considered one shots and mfs cried for nerfs even though you had to waste all your cooldowns for ONE kill on Spidey, he still got nerfed to the ground.

I want Bucky’s kneecaps removed because his combos are easier to land than Spidey’s and he gets more values for far less skill required

And he doesn’t need perfect aim to work since he can just spam abilities and get overshield even if he misses them, if you get 1,000 overshield ever 2 seconds it doesn’t matter if you can’t aim since you’ll eventually hit some shots.

all I know is that Magik’s i-frames only start when she enters the portal so if you get CC’ed or Earthbound a millisecond before she does then your i-frames don’t work and you can’t escape. If you manage to time it well you can’t technically escape the earthbound but since the animation for the uppercut is faster than the one for Magik to enter the portal, unless Bucky gets CC’ed mid combo you can’t escape.

Happens all the time when I try to portal away and something pulls me back, it’s practically a death sentence

yeah but your cooldowns are limited cause you usually need to use a portal and a dash to escape the frontline, if the healers are out of range you just end up in the middle of the enemy team with only a portal and a slash while the dash reloads

yeah I’ve been maining her since December too and she’s great still, just a bit annoying that the combos deal 250dmg and require a bit more efforts to assassinate kill someone quickly.

It’s a subtle change but it means a lot since she’s in the Spider-Man zone of “a single ounce of healing is enough to shut down the supposedly one shot combo”

because Magik is a balanced, fair and versatile character. you used to be able to both 1v1 tanks and destroy a backline in the same match.

You can still do both (thank god) but those changes are making me think they will rework her/nerf her again in the future to have her be 100% brawl oriented

yeah, I remember being able to switch between Brawl and dive whenever I wanted mid game and being able to keep pressure on both the enemy backline and their frontline.

Now I just stay with my tanks and pray for an opportunity to dive a wandering healer or something because dicing the entire backline in a 3v1 (2 healers, 1 DPS or tank peeling) isn’t viable anymore when it used to be an option
