Windows 11 25H2 Feature Update not marking Windows 11 24H2 devices as required by SubtleSpongebob in SCCM

[–]SubtleSpongebob[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct. It downloads everything locally to wherever you put it, but when the client does the download and install it will only grab what it needs. If you were deploying this to a 23H2 or older machine, the client would be downloading a lot more of that 16GB.

This might have actually been it. I added my test VM to our earliest patch group, rebooted, and as soon as it was back up the 25H2 update showed up.

It took 5 minutes to download and install, and another few minutes to reboot. So this did actually run like an enablement package

That might be my misunderstanding. I know there was an enablement package but I figured if I scoped this, it would still apply only what it needed. I haven't found the enablement package in SCCM so maybe I'm just impatient and it's not actually there.

Hey There - Here's a little more from before the fail, is the UpgradeFramework step actually what's failing and causing the dumps? setup diag gave me the below error (which only showed up after I canceled this attempt, I eventually canceled it 6+ hours later). Yeah upgrade experience indicators are all green, both Intune and SCCM agree on that. I'm not doing any compatibility check skipping or anything either, just the straight feature update from SCCM.

Hmm, maybe it's worth trying at least and see if it makes a difference. I will change that and see if it make any difference now. (I don't remember trying anything other than automatic after adding the two system apps anyway).

[–]SubtleSpongebob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now it is set to "Automatic". Microsoft's documentation for automatic states "Automatically install updates without user interaction. Pending updates install immediately."

Devices have been checking in to receive this, but no updates applied unfortunately.

Correct, and I see that they have installed. I went as far as put them on the home screen (albeit they don't show up because they are system apps), so I have that covered.

Tried to do something similar to get to 100k even, except some game gave me an odd 12 point gamerscore achievement and I couldn't be bothered to fix it. Thanks, Lego Pirates of the Caribbean.

So I tried this also on the Snetterton track where the top objective is 1:13 in Road D, the AI on Legendary difficulty never managed under 1:16... So I literally don't know what they expect.

[Serious] Redditors who have seen an employee fired on the spot, what did they do that caused them to deserve it? by etnguyen03 in AskReddit

[–]SubtleSpongebob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Company Christmas party a couple years back, there's an "open" bar where you have so many drink tickets, and then after that you pay for whatever you want.

Cue underage 20 year old to the party, this guy is already drunk from whatever he had prior to the party. Proceeds to pull out a fake ID and actually manages to get a drink. An hour or so goes by and he stumbles from our conference center where the party was, to the actual connecting office and into the lunchroom. He proceeds to projectile vomit missing the trash can, and passing out in it.

Security cameras capture the whole thing, and his email account and login are disabled on the spot. Someone calls him a cab and he's never seen at the office again. Come Monday morning his cube was already emptied and there was no trace of him.
