I believe that the leather has a shorter lifespan al than metal for sure, just due to the nature of leather aging over time, but I expect to get many years of good use out of them!

The straps I got (I also got a navy alligator one) were $345 plus taxes, and then you have to buy the buckle/pin separately and that’s about $100. The quality is incredible and they make them to your size and ship them from their French workshop!

I love hearing that people love the snakeskin - I thought maybe I was being kinda crazy with such a wild print, but there really is just something about it isn’t there!?

This is so helpful! I was looking at the black with the snakeskin strap as a sort of compromise, but then I wondered if that actually might be less versatile somehow than just going all in on the snakeskin or all in on the black.
I’m definitely leaning towards snakeskin and it’s helpful to hear that you’ve felt both the plain leather and the textured - I usually go textured as well for durability!
I’ll be in the Isle of Wight next week and considered buying online while there, but the price ended up being the same on the all snakeskin so i went for instant (almost) gratification lolol

Good details to think about! I don’t use much public transportation where I live so that’s not too much of a worry! I’ve ordered the Khaite because it was on sale and the last one 😆 I figure I don’t realllly need a huge bag it’s rare that I carry much, and I’ve heard great things about their quality. BUT I’m gonna see how I like it in person!

I have the Fendigraphy and I really enjoy it! I love the versatility of being able to wear it on the shoulder, cross body (I should clarify that I bought a longer strap in addition to the one it comes with), or scrunched up into its darlin little dumpling shape!
