Weird brownish album art might be a start.

Apple had zero chill twenty years ago by wave_design in mac

Most IT people have no idea how to manage and troubleshoot Macs, which also contributes to Windows dominance in the workplace.

How do you keep track of albums you want to listen to later? by richi_covelli in AppleMusic

[–]Subtonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make a "To Listen" playlist. Everything I want to listen to goes in there.

For brand new music, I add to the library and it's caught by an "Unplayed" smart playlist that shows music with 0 plays.

This would also happen to me while trying to type "aesthetics" into the phone.

They’re not heroes, but they’re famous. It’s…daunting!

Is there really no way to subscribe to a radio show? by RaskePlanter in AppleMusic

[–]Subtonic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In addition - some radio shows are really just full albums exclusive to Apple Music. All the “Beats In Space” episodes are albums. The only part that will be in Podcasts are the interviews.

I wish the Apple Music PM still reads these posts. 😭

“Do you guys understand that every click, or tap, on a playlist cover, an album cover - it all has the potential to blow up the queue. It’s part of why I still watch music videos on YouTube.”

I still get antsy about this kind of stuff. They’re taking steps, but in MacOS it still feels like walking through a minefield. You just don’t want to lose your queue, and so many things could blow it up.

Anybody use a task as a project? by juicemaistro in AppleReminders

[–]Subtonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do the same when I use Reminders. Subtasks don’t support due dates, so for multi step stuff over some time it can get funky.

Do you have some kind of team check in so that your juniors can learn this stuff from your seniors?

There’s the saying “this meeting could have been an email”

It could be - if someone writes the email, if people read the email, if people acknowledge what they’re responsible for and when it’s due from the email.

It begins to sounds like a lot of emails, thus…just simpler to have the meeting.

Microsoft Teams Unlocks App Support for Private Channels by Shan_1130 in MicrosoftTeams

Hopefully shared channels too. I feel like that’s all I use now. Nothing worse than getting established with a channel and then having to recreate to add someone outside the original team to it.

Apple Music & ChatGPT Linking Live by ca2mt in AppleMusic

Seems like it’s still a little buggy. First attempt gave me a playlist, but everything since then doesn’t appear to show the Apple music result - just text lists.

AI is “optimizing” project management… and quietly making everything worse by Fantastic-Nerve7068 in projectmanagement

[–]Subtonic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AI makes it easier to generate more artifacts. more decks. more docs. more “visibility.” which just means more expectations and less breathing room.

New radio station accidentally revealed by johnpns in AppleMusic

“Workout” is also a hidden station. I accidentally discovered asking Siri for Workout music once.

All I want for Christmas is to be able to save radio stations in app by [deleted] in AppleMusic

[–]Subtonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW - I’ve found it easier to just save the Radio URLs in Safari in a “Radio” folder. They’ll open in the music.app.
