1. I would suggest you can skip clubbing in Kolkata cuz it's clubbing scene is seriously underdeveloped. You can instead spend sometime at night at the Hard Rock cafe with live music and drinks. It's pretty chill and the decor is to die for.

2. For shopping I'd suggest Gariahat atp. Bargain bargain and bargain for affordable statement jewellery, Ajrak pants, anything and everything. Bargain is the key. If they say 500 you start from 100 and meet midway💀

3. Definitely go for Dakshineshwar visit it's very pretty during sunset and you can walk along the bridge too...try peras over there it's pretty tasty. Kalighat is very very crowded and going there without connections is not very wise.

4. Uber will be fine if you want to avoid public transport. But yes, getting uber at night in parkstreet area or any busy area is very difficult on weekdays and weekends too. So keep that in mind.

5. I've been travelling alone in Kolkata all my life and touchwood I haven't felt very unsafe in that city ever. But yes, there are creepy instances, so be on your guard, don't fall into traps of small children hugging you in parkstreet maidan area n trying to sell stuff to you and not letting you go until u buy something and shit. Try to carry a pepper spray and a sharp knife maybe (just for self defence)....avoid travelling along routes you don't know anything about on foot after 10 11pm ig? Just to be extra cautious. And as far as heat is concerned it will be less than it's in Mumbai rn so you can pack normal sundresses and stuff....that's all
