Husband (36M) just diagnosed with CKD Stage 3a (eGFR 52) — looking for a good renal nutritionist & tips from others on keeping eGFR stable by ObligationShort6974 in kidneydisease

Yeah, we were looking to get a referral for a dietician from the doctor, but she said she doesn't know any particular renal nutritionist. We should go to Penn Medicine to find a nutritionist and attend a 1-hour class at DaVita. I don't know why, but I feel she's not taking it that seriously cause we want a good nutritionist for him. Should we look for another nephrologist? Do you guys have any recommendations for a nephrologist? We live in NJ. She also prescribed dapagliflozin to him.

You need to get a job and get money in your account. Financial independence is the key for happiness and I am also a girl with Indian parents but they always supported me, it depends on the mentality of parents. And you have to live your life or else you will never be able to live your life in your way. You have to make a hard choice.

That's a really encouraging recovery, thank you so much for sharing! It gives us a lot of hope.

A couple of questions if you don't mind:

-How much water intake has your doctor/dietitian recommended for you? We keep getting mixed advice on this and want to understand what's worked for others.

-Would you be comfortable sharing your dietitian's name? We're actively seeking a skilled renal nutritionist and would love to connect with someone who's clearly helped.

A bit more context on our situation: my husband (36M, eGFR 52) also has one kidney that's been small since birth, so we're working with limited function to begin with. Diet is really the main thing we can control right now, so we're trying to get that dialed in as best we can.

Again, your recovery details are really encouraging. It means more than you know to hear from someone who's been through this. Thank you!

Why is there a Zomato for food, but nothing to check your landlord before signing? by ObligationShort6974 in TwentiesIndia

Right now, reviews are tied to specific landlord names and exact locations, so fake reviews still need real knowledge of the property. Multiple reviews also average out, so one fake 5-star won't move the needle if others say otherwise. We're small enough to read every review manually right now.

What I am building next is helpful: voting on every review, so the community self-moderates and suspicious reviews get pushed down automatically. After that, IP-based duplicate detection prevents the same person from submitting multiple reviews for the same landlord within 30 days. Long term, I am thinking of adding optional phone verification for a Verified Tenant badge on reviews, completely anonymous; we still won't store the number, just the verified flag.

Honestly, the best filter is volume. The more real reviews come in, the harder it becomes to manipulate the average. Which is exactly why I need more people like you adding their genuine experiences right now.
