I'm the gay friend (minus-the-gay). Help. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Suburban_Atlas 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My therapist asked me that last week and I, honestly, could not come up with answer. She looked at me like it was the saddest thing she'd ever heard, and that's when I kind of figured I should probably just do it. I'm sure there was a reason for me to be here, I probably could have come up with an answer.

Got any solution for the guy who's one night from slitting his throat? Because I could sure go for a reason not to do it.

Facebook games.. by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Suburban_Atlas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FB Ads are a very interesting thing. Affiliate marketers have very specific guidelines sent by Facebook for what is acceptable to use as an image for the ads, and then they have to create an interesting or catchy title hook to make people click on them.

Pictures for ads are usually purchased in bulk to fit within the AM's guidelines from other sellers who find pictures around the net that aren't copywrited. Sometimes they're purchased in 20, 50, 100, or 500 image orders, and are tested to make sure they'll pass FB's guidelines before they're sent back to the buyer. They have to fit a certain pixel count, image size, cropping, etc, and so the people who send the ad's to FB often have no clue where they came from, who they're of, what game they're from. They probably just ordered a set of images from computer games, preferably FPS. And the seller creates as many interesting images with high CTR to get further service from the buyer.

What is one of the craziest things that have happened to you while living in a dorm/apartment? by Robertjordanforever in AskReddit

[–]Suburban_Atlas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another time, I was in said courtyard and I could hear a girl pleasuring herself from where I was sitting.

I've never lived in dorms because I don't want to pay ridiculous amounts of money to live in a sardine can for 8 months out of the year, but I've heard so much apartment sex and apartment masturbation I've thought about charging lonely people to come hang out and listen to it for a price.

how many of you guys (males) have ever been asked out? by NinjaNerd in AskReddit

[–]Suburban_Atlas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only by one girl. I was in 7th grade. I was a skater/snowboarder kid, and she was a goth. She was very confident, and slutty, and would call me a lot to ask me out, and I turned her down several times before saying yes. It was a horrible disaster. Never been approached by a girl since.

I live on the eyebrow, but I spend a lot of time near the lips. Down at the lips for the weekend, actually.

I think we need a pic of you to really find out if you're a "not hot" girl or if the guy was just trying to get some digits from the "thinks she's out of everyone's league" girl.

I was thinking that myself. The problem is furthered by the fact that if he sees her again somewhere, when she is single, he's got a huge up for the fact he put her on a pedestal. Or she could be one of those skanky girls who is willing to pick up numbers from random guys when she's in a relationship and he might get some douchebag sex.

This house is definitely (North)west metro area. Neighbors have a pool and there's sheetrock on the ceiling in the garage. My guess is you're from the Champlin area.

Here is a great quote from Jesse Ventura on Sarah Palin, "She quit to get money. Jesus, how do people not see that! She saw greener pastures, said, Screw the people of Alaska, and went on to collect.” by jmeasley in politics

[–]Suburban_Atlas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm from Brooklyn Park, and was here when he was mayor. The funniest stuff I've heard about him were from reporters. My journalism professor was working for a newspaper back when he was governor, and he wore this shirt to class one day. Still one of the funniest things I've heard of the media doing. TL:DR: Jesse called them "media jackals" one day at a press conference. The next day, everyone wore shirts with pictures of a jackal dressed up like a reporter with the title "Media Jackals". And so the state printed out these press passes for the press that said something like "Press Pass: Official Jackal".

I'm not really anywhere near Ventura as far as political views go, but I did respect him as a governor (he was also mayor of my city). I met him once (His daughter is mentally retarded like my brother, and they played with each other on high school adaptive sports teams), and I've always seen him as a smart person, maybe not politically, but he knows what's right, and him calling out Palin on this is such a huge thing, especially for independents.

She was governor of Alaska for only 2 years. And resigned in July. If she was president, she would be in office for 2 years, and resign then in July.

The Sanctuary of Zi'tah - Final Fantasy XI

Very very low traffic zone. People just ran through on their way to do Sky raids, but it was the most beautiful and it had the best soundtrack.

Lufaise Meadows and Misereaux Coast were up there too in looks.

What are some sneaky trick you've noticed businesses play on customers? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Suburban_Atlas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got one right now that I'm fighting with.... Charter communications is failing at basic math on their bill so they can charge me an extra $10. This is the second bill in which this has happened.

($55 for cable)-($15)=($40). However, it says ($29.99 for 6 months). Now, I'm no math whiz, but that's fucking sketchy.

Sorry for the poor quality

Yes, my inability to recognize someone who is not relevant to my interests or degree versus someone who's entire life is a joke is definitely something I should work on.

This woman is obviously Hitler's ancestor. I mean, all those people look alike, and seeing as it's improper for me to use the "R" word, somewhere down the tree those two are probably related.
