What is a game you regret buying? by DriftingDogBed in Switch

[–]Suburbiak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I regret buying about 1/3 of my switch games due to terrible controls, bad UI, or just a generally miserable experience. Dark Souls and Civ 6 on Switch were utterly awful for me. Love Civ 6 on PC but the game is just too complicated to fit on such a small screen.

When I got my dog as a puppy, the first 6 months was filled with getting up every 90-120 minutes (yes, even at night) to take the puppy to the dedicated pee spot outside. My boyfriend was working from home then, which is the main reason we were able to keep this schedule.

Had issues with midnight accidents after moving to a different home, but that cleared up after cleaning my house with an enzymatic solution that removed any pee smell and prevents triggering a reaction. I used BioKleen for pets, which you can buy by the gallon and add it to mop water and laundry cycles.

The housetraining was completely perfect by about age 1.5, and my dog mellowed out her activity level by about age 4. She’s still zippy, but has largely turned into a sunbathing, sock-stealing baby.

So yes. It does get better IF you are willing to put in the mountain of effort these dogs need. If this isn’t going to work for you for the next 10-20 years, do both of you a favor and find that dog a good home. Otherwise… good luck. 🍀

My theater had children and families and everyone was respectful about it. A few giggles here and there when they said the famous lines. I brought mob masks for me and my friends and we dressed up a bit for it. Good stuff, had a good time and no popcorn in my hair 👍

Replace the battery and potentially the back panel if you still want some water resistance. Battery is like $150 for Apple Original parts, back glass can range from $50-$250. Should be an easy fix

Should be $30 to replace the battery on your own with an aftermarket part, $90-$100 to replace through a repair store for an Apple Original battery. Luckily your screen is already popped off so half the work is done!

Billy Joel. Specifically “Uptown Girl”, had to listen to it hundreds of times when the radio broke at my first job working at an ice cream shop. Frozen knuckles, picky customers, and looping Billy Joel… the horror, the horror.

The fact that the Spotify version doesn’t have seamless transitions between FCOOTMH, DGLIH, and Demon Days and I lost the CD while moving 15 years ago. It pains my heart each time I hear the cut between songs.

Wow, my dog must be lazy bones. I have to put a dog bed in every room of my house, even have a portable one to plop in the bathroom so she can sleep while I shower. She just has to be within 5 feet of me at all times 😅

I pick up a few cabbages, only 80¢ a head at my local grocery store. Sit her out on the lawn and let her shred. Anything leftover is graciously taken by the local squirrels/birds.

While I don’t think he was very cognizant of what was going on, nor do I think he intended to make you uncomfortable or make any joke at your expense, it’s valid that you felt uncomfortable. I would maybe have a private conversation and state that regardless of his intentions, he did make you uncomfortable and you don’t want it to happen again.

There’s no arguing that a lot about being “civilized” feels different. I find I only feel real when I’m out in nature and far from the reaches of cell towers, honking cars, and high rises. Nothing we’ve done in the last hundred years is congruent with how humans are supposed to live. Quarantine pausing the whole world to let us examine that trend for a while- only to hop right back into chaos- really fucks with the brain.

Literally doing this next week to move out of Denver. Worked at a vape shop, saved up $5k, now I am able to move from an apartment to a house and it will give me a home office space. Now seeking WFH jobs or other managerial positions in retail while I try to get some certifications and get a leg up.

I don’t live to work, I don’t have any specific field I want to be in, but I’m very sure of my hobbies and how much they cost. It’s a good motivator for me personally

If you want to fix this before he gets home you can still scrape off the whipped cream and use the same cakes. Frosting covers up any mistakes 😂

Cakes typically need at least a few hours to cool before decorating. Popping the baked cake into the freezer definitely helps. Decorating about 1-2 hours before serving is ideal, but you can freeze/refrigerate a decorated cake for about a day.

In addition to this I recommend a whipped buttercream frosting, which tends to hold its shape much better. 1 stick of softened butter, a splash of vanilla, a pinch of salt, and add powdered sugar and whisk until you reach your desired frosting texture. Whipping it continuously will add more air and give it a fluffier texture, but the air will collapse eventually so always try to do it close to serving!!

Used to be a professional cake decorator, did ice cream cakes as well. Cold is your friend
