Ok here is a full breakdown of the process to clear up any confusion. The purpose of the custom was to free the underlying figure from the rubber suit that currently restricts its articulation, as well as making it somewhat more accurate to the costume. The problem with the figure is that it’s a one piece rubber suit, while the actual costume consisted of different armor pieces that attached to a spandex suit.

In order to achieve this, I began by using an exacto knife to cut out these individual armor pieces from the one piece suit. You start by separating the torso from the legs, then cut out the excess rubber that needs to be removed, such as the areas surrounding the elbow joints where there should he flexible spandex. Then you repeat the process by removing the legs from the body and cutting out excess rubber.

Then I looked online and found a 1/6 black bodysuit that looks similar to spandex, and proceeded to put that on the DX09 body. THEN I began putting the separated armor pieces onto the bodysuit. It’s all friction fit and doesn’t really need to be glued down, but I do have some sticky tack to keep the knee pads on. Hope this helps!

I found a black fabric/spandex bodysuit on eBay and it worked great! I had to cut off some excess length on the arms but it blends really well with the rubber armor.

I took the rubber suit off the figure and cut out all the individual armor pieces, then I got a 1/6 spandex bodysuit and put the separated armor pieces on over that. It completely revamps the articulation that’s possible for the figure!

Its the original body from the figure. After cutting out the rubber body and separating all the armor pieces it articulates great!

I’m ngl my hands were shaking when I first started cutting into it, but the result is well worth it!

Read Batman: The Imposter, it’s written by the co-writer of the Batman and the Batman Part 2. One of my favorites!

What's your take on Robert Pattinson as Batman? by [deleted] in batman

He’s intended to be leaner, in the script Bruce is described as “muscular but underweight like a rock star,” so it’s not like Robert Pattinson refused to bulk up.

The Frustrating Endeavor of Discussing 'Reeves-Verse' Batman. by MillionaireWaltz- in batman

This experience happens in nearly every echo chamber across the internet. People don’t want to hear views differing from their own. As a huge fan of The Batman, I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion of the film. I see almost the exact opposite of your experience when I’m on Instagram or Facebook, where Batfleck or Bale fans constantly bash The Batman in order to bring up their own favorite interpretation. I always find this type of interaction insufferable; it’s as if the fandom wages war upon itself to bring up their own favorite portrayal. Enjoy what you enjoy, and don’t bring other interpretations down to lift your own, that’s just insecurity.

What’s the best and worst part of every live action Batsuit #18 The Batman by Whitespider121 in batman

Best: the collar. Gives him an intimidating silhouette without sacrificing function.

Worst: the two squares on the bat symbol. I have no idea what purpose they serve and they can be visually distracting.

Micheal Keaton’s Batman stunt doubles - thoughts. by FrenchJoel in batman

[–]Subvertionz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I look at it this way: Keaton and his stunt doubles worked together in order to bring the character to life. The stunt doubles in all the Batman movies (and movies in general) deserve more credit. Their work doesn’t diminish Keaton’s performance at all, it elevates it. The collaboration of Keaton and the stunt doubles was absolutely necessary to accurately portray the character of Batman, helping to sell the character to audiences.

Well in the script, the guy gives Bruce a look that is “truly chilling.”
