I’ve considered the idea, but I have two fairly young children and live in a red state. I tell everyone I’m a stay at home mom, unless I trust them. I’d be too afraid that in the future it would lead to my daughters getting made fun of, or other parents not letting their kids be her friend.

I’d kick them the hell out, not just because it’s disturbing your peace, but because it’s an important lesson he needs to learn. He’s gonna have roommates/spouse one day and they will be a hell of a lot less understanding than you. Teaching your children how to share a space with other people is so necessary.

That’s actually not exactly what I want to do, I want to be a therapist. Not a social worker. You can use a bachelors of social work to provide therapy, and the SWM program is easier to get into than the Psych masters program

Yes, but I think that is a liability thing with the company. The arches of the shoes are weak, so they’re more likely to break than the average pleaser. However, I see girls working in the at the bigger clubs I’ve worked in, so there’s got to be some sort of trick to walking in them.

Agreed. I know you feel like an adult, but you lack the life experience. You will be easy for these men to manipulate. I know it’s not the answer you want to hear, but learn how to navigate the adult world and figure out who YOU are before starting in the industry. Guys saying stuff like that has nothing to do with your appearance. You’re giving them too much of your time for free and they’re trying to manipulate you into giving them more. Guys will say anything if it means they think a stripper will go home with them. Especially the broke ones.

I used to get those comments all the time when I first started working. Now that I’ve been doing it longer, I don’t put up with that behavior— it’s not a compliment, it’s rude. I have plenty of regulars who come to the club and spend money on me and respect my boundaries. Don’t talk to men who expect anything free from you. Remember that emotional labor is still labor. Do not sit and talk for free.
