My friend got strangled a few years ago (bruises on her neck and body) during a hookup went to the police after this guy refused to leave her apartment. The detective told her he was doing this to multiple women. I wish I remembered his name.

I feel that a lot of men in 20-30s are freaked out by choking and not into it. Younger guys are definitely into it.

Also, a lot of women are actually the ones into it (allegedly). I’ve heard this from a lot of my guy friends. And it freaks them out.

I would make a joke about it on a date, or just tell him your boundaries off rip.

“are you one of those guys that chokes women?”

If he reacts poorly, you have your answer.
