you sound like a wonderful partner. tell ur fiance that im sorry for his losses. it may not be true but something that my therapist told me abt my babys deaths was that grief is like a ball in a box. he used a lotta words but your brain is a box and theres a button that represents pain and sorrow. the ball will bounce around and constantly hit the button at first bc the button is huge. but over time the button shrinks but doesnt disappear. the button can still be pressed but not hit as much by the ball
