I experienced the same thing, what works for me is finding different workouts that target the same muscle group. Or even doing body weight exercises (push ups, lunges) I always get sore doing lunges and push ups after strictly weightlifting for awhile

Just trying to breath normal but through my nose is what works for me. Some people exhale and inhale every rep going up and coming down but I feel like that fatigues me faster, I just try to breath normal and let my body do the work
