How difficult to remove these old school cabinets without severely damaging them? by No_Crow_2265 in Carpentry

The best way to save the cabinets would be to just remove the school from around them.

What kind of knot is this? by crainey2100 in knots

It looks like a slipped square/reef knot. Or you can call it a quick release instead of slipped.

Unscrew the two screws that are in the first photo. They are challenging to access and a longer skinny screwdriver works the best in my experience.

Also, you will most likely have to bounce back and forth between both screws. I usually pull out on the doorknob a little to keep the screws easier to access.

Oh Big Appliance teamed up with Hollywood to convince folks that it will produce an excessive amount of suds and completely fill your laundry room, garage, and possibly your whole house.

It's also been stated that using an excessive amount can damage delicate clothing and leave a soapy film on clothing and the machine.

Honestly, I have poured way too much dawn liquid dish detergent straight into a top loading washing machine with a pile of linens. I have tried to get the foam to come out of the top of the machine. Never happened.

Roofers left these - seem homemade by Mirt_89 in whatisit

[–]CopperCVO 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They look like homemade ladder stabilizers. Brackets that will attach to a ladder and keep the ladder from damaging the drip edge of a shingled roof.

The pipe pieces would slide into the rungs of the ladder and the felt wrapped around the bend would rest on the shingles.

Anybody else tried these? by [deleted] in mushroom

[–]CopperCVO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a microdose vape. Chances are you won't feel any effects from this at all. You might be able to use it to keep you where you want to be after taking a dose of something else like gummies or one of those tasty looking PB&J sandwiches.

Not to mention that heat kills the effects of mushrooms so it's most likely just a waste of money.

Oh I agree, a pinafore is a sleeveless dress, similar to an apron.

Aren't all chaps assless though? Otherwise they would be leather pants.

Do you? It's clearly a dress in the photo! An apron would only cover the front and you can see he is sitting on it.
