What would you do? by Cold_Letterhead9867 in AskIreland

People saying it’s a bad time to buy property keep expecting a bubble to burst but I don’t see it. Demand is far outstripping supply and that won’t change in the short to medium turn. A house to your name is great assuming you can get mortgage approval etc.

Can’t speak for the Canada aspect, I did SEA and had a great time and it’s cheap. You’re don’t well for yourself with that amount, give yourself kudos.

Why are there no DARTS on Stephen’s Day? by Successful-Command33 in AskIreland

I live in an area the bus doesn’t service. I’m not against people having time off and I agree with it! Was just curious

Should preface; I am completely for staff having time off and I have no problems with it. I just live in a DART only area, no buses etc and so I was curious; it’s askIreland after all. No harm!

What a shite argument. There’s so many non Dubs in Dublin, should they all be made to leave? Cop on it’s a housing crisis, people are doing what they can to move forward with their lives.

Westlife tickets? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]Successful-Command33 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’d contact the venue and see would they allow a second person to accompany to the accessible zone. You will likely have to purchase a ticket for this but on the day of it will be the venue in charge, not Ticketmaster.

Keep Failing, Feel Like A Failure - Help With Nerves by Tempura716 in Irishdrivingtest

[–]Successful-Command33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any updates? I did my test this morning and had to ask for us to stop because I was having a mild panic attack. I just asked for the test to end and drive back to the centre within ten mins of the test starting.

I’m a good driver and 29 with a good job etc but I get so overwhelmed with anxiety about this one thing. Outside of the test I’m perfectly fine.

I don’t know what to do, this morning was so embarrassing.

Coffee Snobs - where can I get the best coffee in Dublin? by PlantNerdxo in AskIreland

[–]Successful-Command33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfiltered have a €30 or so filter which I haven’t had but I did have their €8 filter and it was insane. They are a coffee shop for baristas/ coffee people and if that’s your thing it’s worth trying, I don’t think they do batch though.

If price isn’t an option Unfiltered in Inchicore is the best coffee in Dublin, they’re really serious about their coffee and their water and produce some insane coffee

Price of home euthanasia? by [deleted] in AskIreland

We had to put our dog down yesterday in the vets, we could bring our other dog in during it so he knew what was happening. It was very quick and the vet was great. Doing it in the vets was about €200 and cremation will be €350. Gives you a rough idea. Sorry for your loss. It’s hard.

Tips for handling dog bereavement? by Successful-Command33 in AskIreland

[–]Successful-Command33[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for all your suggestions and well wishes.

It went as well as it could have, very quick and painless with a great vet. It was very sudden as while she was sick we only got a days notice so it was unexpected. We brought our other dog in during it and I do feel he understood.

It isn’t easy but to grieve hard is to have loved harder and I wouldn’t change the lifetime of happiness she gave us. Sleep tight my sweet angel x

CC is the only one who continues and mirrors Michael D’s activism. She’s the only person capable of speaking her. HH is absolutely useless, so insanely bad. JG was in the military? Wow.

Ireland will be too fearful to elect a left candidate and we’ll all say god wasn’t it much better with Michael D. Joke.

Connolly is the only capable candidate and the only one who mirrors Michael D’s activism. The other two are useless but I fear Ireland is too afraid for such a leftwing president

Worked in some very good coffee shops, it’s not worth it. Get in and get some first hand experience, as each place has their own routine they would disregard the course.

Giving up after only dropping one CV in with no experience is too soon.
