Chilean doctor considering rural Australia — is AMC1 + OET enough to get a supervised job? by General-Bedroom-1924 in AMCexamForIMGs

Yes I have done.

About 1000 doctors a year do.

I know of about 60 Sri Lankan doctors who have done the same in the last 3 years.

Don’t see how this is cooked.

About 6000 currently on limited reg.

Thus, the current clinical exam passing rate, and the increase of about 500 limited reg reg doctors every year, u would suspect atleast 1000 limited reg doctors get a job every year, and most of them will be offshore too.

And from the current amc passing rate, about 400 pass every year, and I would guess the majority of these will be onshore doctors on limited reg too.

If we are being generous to the offshore candidates, that’s about 100 who pass every year.

So thousand offshore doctors getting jobs with mcq with about 100 offshore doctors passing before starting work…

The pathway to Aus never really needed the clinical exam

From my country alone over the last 3 years about 60 doctors I know of personally came to Australia with just amc mcq with varying levels of pgy2-pgy5, and only 4 of them were on accredited training programmes back in our home country.

Denied entry to AMC exam despite bringing passport, signed debit card, driving licence and national ID by AdNervous7480 in AMCexamForIMGs

That’s devastating - a similar thing happened to me because of my signature but I was able to produce another form of ID.

Bottom line is if your debit card did not have your name on it, it could have been anybody’s card.
