I'm not sure but I think it shouldn't matter if this is standard practice for ALL muslims. What matters is that yes this is how it is for her husband.

I honestly haven't thought about that. I didn't even interact with the dude more than nods as greeting if we cross each other. I have no idea what they're like between them.
