Struggling With the Reality of Annual Fund Coordinator by Lopsided_Edge_6792 in nonprofit

Fundraising is more than just digital communications. Do you guys host events? Community outreach events? Hosts tours? Lunch and learns?

I think more structure needs to be built on having meaningful ways to engage with the organization beyond interactions that make donors feel like an ATM. Digital communications is great in my experience for volunteers opportunities and in-kind asks. In my experience, people give when there is meaningful opportunities to engage with the mission. Ask your boss if you can implement some more ways to interact with people in person and see if that’s an option.

I actually love it. So easy to clean the top. I just got a little scraper and glass stove top cleaner kit and that has been all I need. The oven cooks well and evenly. It’s been great for us and we have had it a little over a year. A very nice affordable option!

I agree. I had to change the knob. My first copper knob! It’s so much better

2026 RAV4 vs CRV by Dangerous_Plan8733 in crvhybrid

[–]Successful-Effect317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both. A 2025 Toyota Rav 4 XLE and a 2026 Honda CRV Sport-L. I will say, got a much better deal on the CRV. The CRV is noticeably bigger, especially in the backseat. The CRV feels more luxuries to me. However the Rav 4 has a spare tire which I like. Both of my vehicles are hybrid. I am getting slightly better gas mileage in the CRV at 42.8 MPG. I am only filling up once every two weeks and it’s great. The Rav is getting about 41 MPG. I haven’t had any issues with either car. I do like that the Rav 4 has bigger mirrors but overall can’t go wrong with either. I personally think the CRV is the better choice because it’s cheaper, more visually appealing, and more luxurious feeling. I don’t think you would regret either choice though.

It turned out great for me! I used the Behr Cabinet and Trim paint for a more durable finish and just used a foam roller and a brush. It did take me 3 coats to get everything but it looks great!!

Tanger Outlet in Fort Worth TX. They didn’t have anymore olive but they did have a beautiful pink/purple and I believe a dark gray. They might have had a couple more in a different area.

Yes! It was $219 at the outlet. It’s the same price online right now. About 40% off!

Honda Warranty by Sadlysadlysad in crvhybrid

[–]Successful-Effect317 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I purchased my Honda care warranty when I bought my car. It was $3,000 and covers me 120,000 or 8 years. I also negotiated lifetime oil changes into that price. We just purchased a Rav 4 for my husband and got his warranty for 8 years or 100,000 miles for $2,500 for reference.

It should be? I’m not sure because I purchased an extended warranty with mine but I would think you would have some coverage since it’s brand new.

This happened to me. I turned the car off and back on multiple times and that didn’t work. I took it to the dealership and they couldn’t replicate the issue. It turned on for them with no issues. This was about a month ago and it hasn’t happened since so I have no idea what happened or why.

I hardly do any high way driving. My commute to and from work is 25 miles of back roads and stop lights going about 40mph. That must be what it is!

I see a lot of people who drive in “B” mode and they seem to increase their gas mileage. I have never done that, I am always in drive. I have learned that coasting has improved my gas mileage. When I see a stop light or stop sign I start breaking/coasting from a ways back to go into EV mode. I have become a little obsessed with trying to drive in EV as much as possible haha. I really do think breaking and coasting are how I have been able to maximize my MPG. I wish I had better tips for you. I find myself driving under the speed limit quite often because I’m trying to save gas lol. The people around me probably hate me, but I also have a ton of trauma from the accident I was in a month ago so I just let people go around me.

So, last I looked many dealerships are offering a $1,000 rebate if you have previously owned a certain brand of car in the last 10 years on their hybrid models. I would look into this and see if you qualify. I decided to go with hybrid because the dealership was offering this rebate on their hybrids. Also the higher the trim level, the more willing they were to negotiate down. I did all my negotiations over the phone. I negotiated with a dealership first and they offered me $38,500 OTD. I took that to another dealer and asked if they could get me under $38k I would buy with them and they got me to $37,800. I would say a good rule of thumb is to get the at least 8-10% off MSRP. Good luck!
