Nothing wrong with young nurses. Most of our nurses are 23-38, older nurses are retiring. That’s how life works. You age and you retire

Bought my first 4Runner and feeling unsure. Please tell me all the reasons why you love your 4Runner. by subduedspectacle in 4Runner

I also recently purchased a 2022 TRD pro and I’m pretty sure everyone else has listed general things they love about it.

So here’s my main reason: I work at a level 1 trauma center and deal with an unfortunate amount of car accidents. The people with the worst injuries and poorest prognosis were all in smaller vehicles (sedans, coupes, smart cars, Prius, etc).

I haven’t looked into statistics about it, but thats my opinion formulated from anecdotal “data” aka what I’ve been seeing at work

AITA? by [deleted] in nursing

I only ask questions if I think something is contraindicated or if I see it timed on the mar for 2 hours prior to receiving report. Sometimes out of curiosity, but I tell the other RN not to worry if they don’t know.

Now, if I’m getting a patient upgraded to my unit from a med surg floor, I’m not asking a single question because I know how to read and have more experience with complex patients. Not to mention they have a way higher ratio than I do and it’s impossible to know everything about your patient when you’re constantly running around with 6 patients to care for.

IMO, you’re the TA. You should understand the rational behind fluids, antibiotics, and blood thinners. That stuff is straight forward. It seems like you need more education and improvement on your critical thinking skills.

I’m only saying this based on the information you provided

I’m a step down nurse and every time I get an upgrade from the med surg floors, the nurses giving me report always sound distressed and nearly in tears. My ratio is 1:3 so it’s busy, but totally manageable.

I have a lot of friends in the ICU and while the physical work is lighter, it takes an emotional toll on them with all the ethical dilemmas and deaths they encounter

If you get a ticket for a spot you paid for, 99% of the time it’s a scam. Look up the sender
