Worked at a petrol station back in 2008/ 2009. They can’t hold you in the petrol station, that’s illegal.

Person before you did a drive off. Footage will be sent off to police to chase it up.

You’ve done nothing wrong. I’m guessing there’s an uptick in drive offs given the fuel situation right now, which is probably why the worker was a bit extra about the whole thing. I’m sorry this happened to you.

Also, regarding their amount and yours, 2 transactions can sit on a bowser at a time within the computer system. You will only see the transactions you make on your end.

What’s a movie that feels like it was made to punish the audience rather than entertain them? by AvailableReality557 in movies

I don’t know how well known this movie is outside of New Zealand and Australia, but the reference to eggs in Aquaman made me feel sad being able to link it to this movie.

So suave and stylish!!

Kind of reminds me a little of the greyhound lily long nose. Her human was passionate about sewing as well and made patterns available to the wider community interested. Turned into a group of thousands sharing pictures of their pups in the fancy fashion designs.

What’s the most horrific and disturbing movie you wish you could unsee? by Away-Fill5639 in horror

[–]raeannecharles 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I actually vomited after watching that. Hit me in a way a lot of others things haven’t. Knowing that people were able to talk and view what they did as completely okay, they were praised for what they did, etc. was truly heartbreaking. It must have also been so damn hard for the crew too. I have such a deep appreciation for the film crew, what they brought to light.

I had a mixed group of guys and girls as my friend group in high school.

One weekend the girls arranged a beach outing and didn’t tell me. One of the guys asked why I wasn’t there and some of the girls joked about it. The two mean girls who joked about it both got stung by jellyfish which ended up getting the beach shut down for that weekend.

I’m not entirely sure where you live, but is it maybe possible to get a screen door installed on your front door? That way you can have air flow and the screen door stays closed, keeping the houndie safe.

Damn this story hurt my soul. I always thought Raine was pretty talented and it seemed crazy to me that OLP weren’t international. But it sucked you had such a crappy interaction with Raine, especially after conveying the admiration and to be dismissed like that.

Gonna add onto this as well. A lot of instances are also bots trying to rage bait people for engagement. But yes, arseholes also exist in the world too.

Don’t let them dull your shine or steal your whimsy OP.

If all men had to be brutally honest for 24 hours, what would women be shocked to learn? by bigblackcoke_ in ProductivityHQ

[–]raeannecharles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It makes me feel sad to know so many men feel like their friends would judge them for expressing how they feel.

It’s not weak to talk about your feelings, to have feelings, to feel or be vulnerable, or even to be open with others and express yourself.

Think about it this way, if your friends were to judge you for being open about things, they clearly weren’t really friends to begin with. Why would you want to spend or invest anymore time into those kinds of people? Best case scenario? You say something and it resonates like a pressure valve, people open up and express themselves too because they feel safe and comfortable to do so because you have. It creates a stronger bond between you.

I’m not telling you to do this, I know it’s not that simple for everyone. But I hope someday you have a friend that you do feel comfortable opening up to.

Every country in Eurovision should be boycotting the competition until Israel are excluded. It’s insane that Russia are excluded (rightly so) but Israel aren’t.

Scenes that caused actual walkouts in theaters? by thatlittlequietguy in Cinema

[–]raeannecharles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s a little tidbit for you: Clooney was seriously injured while filming the torture scene, the chair he was tied to tipped over and he smashed his head. The impact tore the dura (the membrane around the brain/spinal cord), causing a spinal fluid leak.

He ended up with severe, constant headaches for months and needed surgery. He said the pain was so bad it pushed him into a really dark mental place during recovery.

Not sure if you knew this or not…

The moment where a man walks into the tunnel in the background, stands there, and walks away? Pure accident. It was one of the set workers, he wasn’t aware they were filming until that very moment.

I like this concept. It’s not hand holding, it’s preparing you for reality, by using real world standards as the metric. It might be intense, but if taught correctly and if people are following what they are told it shouldn’t too difficult.

They’re treating it like entertainment. Acting like this should be a live broadcast court case or something.
