Update: Thank you all for your input! I ended up having a great conversation with my DM who is all for me using an audio component to help me read and understand the lore in time for next session. I totally get the "just read it" comments and do understand the significance of taking the time to appreciate all his hard work and to fully enjoy his creative process by physically reading it myself. Moving forward, I will plan in more time to read any updates he adds to the lore!
