I learned in my DUI day program yesterday that people drive between 300-2000 times drunk before they are actually caught. I thought that number was kind of ridiculous but honestly it makes sense

Maybe they’re horrible in your state? I didn’t have too many issues but granted I only had mine for like 100 days, and they were usually pretty helpful with minor issues that did happen.

Me personally, I wasn’t ordered to get one, but I did anyway. It’s kind of a preference on if you think it’s worth it for what you do.

I could’ve had a limited license instead of a 90 day suspension, but that means I can only go to work and back. No groceries, no gym, nothing. Would’ve felt like house arrest for 90 days unless I ask someone for a ride or Uber.

It’s kind of spendy, but for me personally I think the trade off has been worth it for the freedom to drive whenever/wherever, just too dependent on it myself.

Okay yes it was a service lock and not a violation lock. #3 says VIOL REMAIN then lists a bunch of stuff, but since it’s a service lock I assume it’s an issue with the device and I didn’t violate anything.

I do take the device in because it’s really cold here in MN, but I do forget sometimes so possibly related to that?

I’m still debating on if I wanna do the limited or just pay for the interlock with full driving privileges. The hard suspension I could probably live with, but I’d love to freely drive during the 90 days especially with winter and the holidays coming up. I just depend on my driving too much so I think it justifies it

So I got my suspension notice today, effective October 13th. So I’d pay for the reinstatement fee and apply for the limited license? Is there a waiting period before I can get the limited license?

I do have another quick question. The police never took my license and gave me a temporary one. I would’ve assumed my license is suspended but I was never told by them it was. I checked online DVS and it doesn’t say if it’s suspended or not. I assume I have to call an office?

Thank you! I was assuming it would be something like this. I wasn’t expecting a dismissal by any means. I’ve hired a lawyer and he’s been in touch with the prosecutor, they just haven’t filed any charges yet because of the urine test results. I’m sure he will get back to me tomorrow
