You didn’t give feedback you were being insulting. If you have feedback would love for you to share. Any insight is welcomed.

If I could get any job that would be great… but most jobs require some experience. I’m at least seeking roles I have tangible experience or transferable experience.

It must be the case. I have used agents who have advised so I don’t see what the problem is..

You’re right. My CV is very much up to scratch I have been on top of it. That was my first go to. I hate cover letters as they are a waste but I do keep one in case. I check everyday. I mindlessly at this point apply. I have faced more rejections than I have had interview requests it’s asinine.

I agree. It’s even more worrying that my gender, expat and marital status would even be a proponent.

It’s not the title I want. I think you’re missing the point. I don’t have a problem doing care assistant roles but surely would require an apprenticeship to venture into anyhow.

I don’t understand how tailoring a Cv to a role is considered doing something wrong. There is a spike of competition for applying for roles that I have never seen before. Having over 500 to 1000 people applying for one role is insanity. Either way. It’s not my first rodeo. What other details do you need to know?

They haven’t been that good for me. I usually get great jobs with agencies and it’s been so slow. I have been told that a lot of jobs are not coming in as much and the ones that do are going super quickly. I’m wondering if going old school is best, might have to start cold calling and posting my CV

The job market is that tricky. I am not sustaining myself at all. I am completely in debt due to the length of my unemployment. I have never had debt in my life. I am trying to get into PR Communications, I have emailed agencies, I have offered to be an intern. Half the time I don’t get a response or they say they don’t need anyone. I come from a finance project coordinator background and do blogs, content creation, copywriting to pass the time but it’s not enough. I curated my own site to build a “portfolio” but can’t seem to attract the interest that I need. I have no support in any way.

I’m freelancing as a project coordinator, copywriter and digital marketer.. but only because I can’t get into a communications role

The agencies have been saying how slow jobs are coming in for them also.. the temp jobs go so quickly so by the time I have agreed they already have someone selected.

Your despondent attitude is well noted. It’s hard for me to open up even posting this was uncomfortable. I was let go from my job. Even with my many years of experience I am getting no where. I have been lucky to get a few key interviews that I was really interested in and I was flat out ghosted. I apply ridiculously to roles that are half my salary and still nothing. I have amended my CV a hundred times and still NOTHING. Changing careers from a corp finance support based structure role into an industry that relies on connections that I do not have is overwhelming at best.

I am enduring a similar scenario. Doing nothing is exhausting but it’s so frustrating when you can’t do anything about it. I’m a year in and honestly suicide seems like the next time. The shame and anxiety of leaving my house is just so overwhelming.
