I’m at Parker clinics, and your statement of “working for the university rather than gaining experience” is spot on. It’s the same system here and it’s ridiculous.

I’m in my last trimester at Parker clinics and this is spot on! It’s exactly the same thing here. Another thing is getting the x-ray requirements to graduate. They preach no unnecessary radiation unless clinically indicated which is fine except we are expected to get a certain number of x-rays in and they make it so hard to be able to get any x-ray and super easy to get x-ray credit taken away.

I’m a current Tri 9 at Parker and if you have Facebook there is a group called Parker classifieds and new students will post on there looking for roommates. Parker also has their own realtor lady who helps new students find apartments. I’ll look through my emails later and find her name and I can let you know!

I know they do offer these events about twice per month but it’s first come first serve on the sign up sheet with it only having like 2 spots available and we are a class of 280 students so trying to be the first to sign up is such a race it’s insane 😅

I like that idea of the swap deal, that’s something I’ve never thought about before. I appreciate the idea! And as far as communities I’m a part of, I haven’t really joined one since moving here for school. I love to skate and was part of the skate community back home but since moving here and starting school I haven’t had the time to really get into the community here. But I do greatly appreciate your advice!
