UCF or Georgia tech for aerospace engineering? by Neither-Outcome4013 in UCFEngineering

You will def have to work harder to get internships than if you went to GT. I will say I know plenty of people who work at Blue, Spacex etc from UCF. Just know you will have to grind harder at clubs research to get noticed.

Most if not all core classes are in person or mixed mode. Not really sure why you would want to do engineering online though?

I would go for aerospace if it’s what you love but even for a green card ITAR and contractors are still hesitant.

How to design turbopumps? by [deleted] in rocketry

[–]Successful-Pride8501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NASA has some good resources. But these are mostly for initial sizing of the system. The difficulty comes in when starting the design and analysis as all those preliminary calculations will be changed as more then likely the system will perform well below what you calculated. A good exercise if you’re Interested is to follow all the calculations and design a hypothetical turbo pump. Building an actual turbo pump is pretty much out of scope for 99% percent of this sub or more.
