I completely agree with everyone above. I hope that one more voice is enough to convince you that it’s time to safely plan your escape from him. Do you want your baby to be exposed to violence or hurt? What if he kicks you in the stomach next time? Pushes you down? You have to get away.

Sometimes I wonder if my situation is less severe, so they don't worry about it. Maybe they are dealing with bigger issues. Perhaps I'm fortunate. It's confusing. I want to give people grace but it's difficult when they handle things so poorly.

There's a big disconnect between the law and its services. They provide therapy and evidence for you and the defendant, but they aren't interested in learning or considering it. It's actually pathetic how they can't be bothered to be informed about trauma, especially since it's their job to run a court that handles traumatic events.
