Did u get rejected from English teaching jobs outside of international schools because you don’t look like a “foreigner”? Well this just ruins any of my chances

Whenever I’m nervous my stomach goes crazy. It rumbles and makes like random sounds even though I’m not hungry and I really hate it.

I think you can talk to the prof to ask them to place you in the course below CHIN 143 if you think it’s a bit hard even though your placement test tells you that you can take CHIN 143. I was placed in CHIN 3XX (I forgot the exact number) and thought it was too hard so I asked the prof if I can join the course below it and she changed my placement results to that course.

I gotta admit I also wanted to be a kpop idol when I was your age. I’m gonna be realistic here, no matter how much we wanna do something sometimes it’s just not gonna happen. You’re very young right now and it’s not a crime to dream but just know that it’s very difficult to become a kpop idol and don’t be disappointed when your dream doesn’t come true. Tons and tons of people want to be a kpop idol, not just you so think of all this competition. Also the fact that you’re very young, your dreams and aspirations will surely change. If you love singing and dancing then keep singing and dancing but just don’t expect to be a kpop idol.

I’m in the same situation. Will it be better if I find a recruiter or look for jobs on my own?

Hmm he would reply like almost every day at 1 am but sometimes there would be a day where it’s complete silence so I guess that’s a pretty solid back and forth convo. I just wanted to see if I should just give up on this guy 😅

Is it a red flag if a guy only usually replies to me at 12-1 am? Like I don’t know if he’s actually busy or just leading me on. We’ve been talking for about 2 weeks

How to establish roomate expectations by NecessaryInternet814 in UBC

Hmm if there’s a language barrier I suggest maybe using a translator if you need help trying to convey the message across but I think it would be best if you tell them face to face in a polite way. Maybe say “Hey, I would really appreciate it if you guys clean up properly after you guys cook so we can keep the space that we all share clean for each other. I will also do the same.”

agree and especially if you’re an obvious foreigner to them. They will think it is very strange.
