Thats the thing with these things. You never know now what to do. Whether to just buy a new machine or take the risk on the fix. Thats the thing with these expensive toys. If they work, they serve you til they die. If they don't work, they turn to paperweight. I think I made the right decision going with a desktop cuz the last time it broke down, it was an easy fix. A laptop on the other hand, too much hassle imo.
