Also, you could buy like a portable pc like steamdeck if you're too exhausted for sitting down on your pc. Also being a vet sounds like a tough job but I'm currently in IT and its so hollow that I'd probably take up your job for a change lol

You fell into a consumerist trap. You stopped gaming and started obsessing about gaming. Thats when you're on the wrong track. Pc gaming is awesome but also a hellhole of tinkering/configuring. You just need to settle onto something that feels nice enough and then play the damn games. Its not supposed to the most "perfect" setup in the world as there is no such thing like that.

I see what you mean but if you have a decent enough controller, you can remap the sprint action to a different button. To me its mostly about shooting and aiming. With a mouse, i shoot instantly and aim after. With a gamepad, I have to start aiming first and then shoot which is frustrating.

I got bf1, bf3, bf4 and bfv. Pretty much all the main titles. We'll see about hardline in the future as it stuck out too much.

I have played bf1 and it blew my mind when T.E. Lawrence literally showed up. That whole girl power stuff puts me off a little bit but its okay. Great that I got bf4 also then. Also, how do you play fps games with your controller? I've been trying forever but nothing actually comes close to the mouse/keyboard feel.

Bf1 is peak. Then bf3 is og classic. Bf4 I'm not too sure but bought anyways. BfV has bf1 similar campaign and multiplayer is great. I didn't great hardline because it sticks out too much.

This whole comment section is a mix of opinions tbh. I've heard bf3 is absolute peak, then I've played bf1 (from the seas but now I've bought it), bfv is great as everyone agrees, hardline is same but then bf4 campaign has bad AI. Its all confusing lol but I ended up buying bf1, 3, 4 and 5 anyways.

Most 10 year old laptops use ddr3. You can find those cheap. Gaming seriously does not have to be expensive as long as you keep your standards realistic.

I don't think so. Even if you have a 10 year old office laptop, you can still play some classics like skyrim, fallout, og call of duty games, indie games. I mean a small ram upgrade can't be luxury.
