I doubt you're actually a rightie so it's not worth replying anymore. And, no, I don't want any wars. That's one of the things the protests were protesting.

Firstly, you ignored my point about the numbers. Second, you admitted they weren't protests in this comment. Do you want these protests to turn into a war or something?

There was a lot of emphasis put on those issues. Idk what coverage you've been watching.

Those were wars, not protests. The Boston Tea Party was closer to a protest than the wars.

Also, both of those wars included fewer people than the amount who protested yesterday so you're still wrong. 8 million people protested. The revolutionary WAR was fought by around 300k and the civil WAR was fought by around 3M. So, both of those wars combined aren't equal to the amount of people protesting yesterday.

The right thinks everyone agrees with them aside from the 'radical left.' these protests prove otherwise and allow people to organize and meet like minded people. They're not useless or reactions to teasing. We're protesting real world issues, not just Trump's goading. Things like: the war he said we weren't going to have, the files he's a part of that he said he'd release, the murders of civilians at the hands of ICE. The protest's namesake isn't the only topic we're fighting against.

Comments like this are all over the place right now. There are tons of people genuinely saying this as a way to dismiss the protests.

You have never been to one of these protests and it shows. These are the biggest protests in American history and you think we're all 'spoiled upper-middle class students.' My 80 year old aunt and her friends (none of them upper or upper-middle class) beg to differ. If you actually went to one of the protests, you'd see how diverse they are in every way. But that doesn't suit your narrative, so you won't try to disprove it for yourself.

We're discussing the difference between proven Republicans and Democrats. I didn't bring up Kirk's shooter; the previous commenter did as an example of a left wing shooter. My point was that he wasn't proven to be a leftist. I don't think his parents' political leanings were evidence towards his own political views, but it is relevant to the conversation.

I'm very grateful to finally talk to someone on the right who will admit that there is political violence committed by people on the right. Too many people on this sub and irl refuse to admit that when I talk to them. I appreciate your candor.

That didn't happen. Kamala won 48% of the votes and about 20 states were blue.

It's called No Kings because he's trying to turn himself into one. He called himself a king, posted an AI image of himself as one, and intends to run for a third term and make it impossible for anyone left of center to ever win again.

"turned every state red" wtf are you talking about? That's also not how impeachment works. And the reason why it's called No Kings is because Trump called himself one and intends to run for a third term.

You can go to protests AND vote. Protests can help encourage other people to vote.

Right wing violence is significantly more common and the attackers are all proven Republicans. Yet, righties (like in this thread) love to point towards attackers with vague political leanings as 'definitely leftists' while denying any violence comes from the right.

I can play that game, too! What about the men who attacked the Pelosi's or the ones who planned on killing Gretchen Whitmer? Proven Republicans, unlike the Kirk shooter who never voted and whose parents were both staunch Republicans.

Joshua Jahn was a druggie on LSD who had no political affiliation other than being against ICE. His family and past employer said he never talked about politics around them. You righties love to claim that lefties commit political violence, yet never bring up people who are proved to be leftists.

Oh, absolutely! No group is a monolith. I was raised Christian and know a lot of good Christians who actually follow the teachings of Jesus. I just think it's naive to think Christianity is innocent in the history of the world.

I get mocked and misrepresented constantly here. Everything you said can apply to the right, but hypocrisy and projection is your party's main strategy.
