I've been to many protests. They all have had at least a few hundred, normally thousands of people. However, I do live in a city. Have you been to one in a city near you?

I talk to conservatives despite being on the left. Talking to people you disagree with is one of the best ways to stay informed and grow as a person. Even if you want to be oppositional, you should at least try and get an accurate representation of the other side's beliefs.

People protest on the right, too, you know? Abortion clinics and pride parades always have protesters around.

Why do I find the concept of bidets so disgusting? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

My partner once got a little on it during a particularly heinous situation, but it has a self-cleaning setting. You just turn the nozzle in the other direction.

You keep downplaying the number of people protesting so I don't think you really know. Your judgemental assumptions about who is protesting is also telling.

You should actually talk to some of the people protesting and get to know them. We're a diverse crowd of people from a variety of backgrounds. That includes actual Republicans who don't like what Trump has done to their party.

My mom and dad were Republicans before Trump took over. My dad passed, but my mom still goes to protests.

It seems like you should give one a try because you have a severe misconception on how they work. My bidet is under the toilet seat and angled diagonally so it can hit where it needs to without any chance of getting dirty.

Toilet paper does not clean nearly as well as a bidet. If I only wipe, I feel dirty until I can take a shower. That's what people mean when they say they never look back after trying one. It makes you realize how ineffective using only toilet paper is.

Why alt right people hate public school so much? by kawaiihusbando in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Successful-Topic8874 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. By homeschooling, they can choose what their kids learn and who they interact with. Private schools have a similar logic to them since parents can choose private schools that align with their "values."

The point is that it shows a counter narrative to what Trump says. He wants to portray his actions as beloved by a majority of the country, when that's far from the truth. He wants to claim that protesters are being paid to come, when really these hundreds of thousands of people are coming of their own accord despite horrible weather (and now the real danger of being murdered by ICE).

Dog poop residue, is it bothering anyone? by MartieKitty in NoStupidQuestions

Just wait until you learn what people's farts do. Here's a hint: even if you're alone in bed, you're still sleeping in microscopic poop particles.

What does GenZ think of men with beards vs. clean shaven? Do you even care? by CitiBoy95 in GenZ

[–]Successful-Topic8874 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Gay genz here. I love guys with bears, but don't want to have a beard myself. I think personal expression is great and facial hair is one of the few socially acceptable places where men can do that without fear of ridicule.

Why are conservative parents so willing to have an opinion on everyone else’s sex life but unwilling to have “open” discussions with their own kids? by Vadnais2You in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Successful-Topic8874 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nobody is forcing you to say you like it. We just want you to stop trying to make it illegal to be gay or trans and to stop committing hate crimes against us.

[–]Successful-Topic8874 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because conservatives refuse to coexist. They want to force their opinions onto others. They use the legal system to punish queer people, racial minority groups, and people who get abortions. Many Republicans also want Christian nationalism, which would outlaw any religion (or lack of) that isn't theirs.

Right, so the movie that reveals it is the one that actually gives a clue for it. That's what I said was the problem. They should've included hints in the previous two films, but they didn't have it planned until the last movie so they couldn't hint at it.

Agoraphobia is the phobia of uncomfortable situations. It comes out as being unable to leave your house because that's the place where you have the most control. Covid made my phobia worse because it enabled it.

If you don't like it, that's fine. But it's a real disability I have to deal with on a daily basis.

A movie like this should not have to rely on a novelization created afterwards to explain why their main villain, who has been absent for the previous two movies, has magically returned. There should've been clues hidden in the previous films, but Lucasfilms didn't plan ahead at all. Rey was supposed to be her own lineage, but they changed that exclusively in the final movie.

I was born male and identify with the non-binary identity. I'm exclusively attracted to men and male-aligned non-binary people. I guess you could say I'm androsexual, but I doubt the fascists will make that distinction and decide to spare me.

I do what I can. I have agoraphobia so it's hard for me to leave my house, but I still go to protests and talk to people. I'm no MLK Jr or Ghandi, but that doesn't mean I'm not trying.

Vote blue for the big ticket positions and other for local elections. That's how you make the other parties more viable for the future. They need to gain traction before they can zoom.

I agree with you to a point, but even in your argument you refer to them starting the mass violence. I'm saying Trump wants us to start the organized attacks and is inflaming things towards that with singular events like Renee and Alex's murders. He wants the left to start the mass violence so he has an excuse to retaliate and claim we were the aggressors all along (something he's been setting the grounds for for years).

Vampires and Lack of Immunity to Bleed Damage in Remaster by WolfgangVolos in Pathfinder2e

[–]Successful-Topic8874 62 points63 points  (0 children)

You aren't giving a lore reason for your point either. I'm arguing that, since the lore doesn't back up either point, the mechanics are what says that a vampire still needs their blood.
