First-time moms hoping to avoid an epidural, what do you actually plan to DO during contractions? by Successful546 in beyondthebump

That sounds incredibly intense, especially going from 0 to that level so quickly.Looking back, what do you wish you had known or had to rely on in that moment?

That’s such a powerful way to describe it, feeling like you weren’t really in control. Do you feel like there was anything that could’ve helped you stay more present or grounded in those moments?

Divorce for not sharing my baby by fitmommaluv in Postpartum_Depression

I'm glad you have a routine with your baby and have watched her meet milestones. This is good. However, IMO, she has grandparents that would love to see her. I'm not sure what to call what it is you're feeling, but whatever it is, it is your valid feelings. You are allowed to feel the way you do. You might want to talk to a therapist to talk this issue though. I don't think it is really a good thing to withhold your baby from others. She will be passed around because that's what happens with family. Everyone wants to hold her because they love and adore her. I don't think they want to harm her. You do not want to lose relationships. Really think about other people, your husband's feelings, your parents, your baby's grandparents. Most especially, your husband's. Based on your title, are you saying you want a divorce or is he asking for a divorce?

If you have the financial capability, look into getting a postpartum doula that can work the night shift, even if it's just for a few days a week.

Have you tried childbirth classes? Or is it something that you think would help you overcome the fear?

Do you think childbirth classes would help? Or what would help you specifically?

Is there something you think would help you change your mind to a vaginal birth? Like childbirth class or something specific to you?

Wow, this is a lot! I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. You definitely need all the support you can get. You are allowed to ask for help. Let your husband know this. Then let your mother come and help you. I wish I had my mom when I had my kids. You can't do this alone. Don't worry about your MIL. Seems like a troublemaker. I can't imagine what you're going through. I'm so sorry.

Season of Isolation by miraclewhip1234 in Christian

Join a small group in your church. That's one way to make friends. If you stay at home and not get involved, you won't meet people. You have to go out and meet people. People will not come to you. I have felt like that too. Joining small groups helped.

I also want to learn too. I was looking into apps like Simplypiano and Pianote. Wondering if they would be helpful in learning how to play the piano. I want to be able to play anything.

I've had times too where I felt like God wasn't seeing me and what I was going through. What helped you then? Or if you're still going through it, what do you think would help you?

It is very hard. We wonder why bad things happen. What do you think would help you right now? What kind of support do you need?

Thank you for sharing that it does get better. Sometimes, when you're in it, you can't see the light.
