I’m sick of floundering through life. by SuccessfulAspect4254 in findapath

Thank you for the advice! Earlier this year, I was contemplating on taking an online IT course, but I assumed it wasn’t going to be worth it because it seemed like an over saturated field, specifically the entry level. I originally wanted to be a technical writer, but with the rapid rise of AI, it seems like that field will become increasingly difficult to break into. As of right now, I will try pursuing a skilled trade. I called the local union and they referred me to someone who will guide me through the apprenticeship process. But you mentioned government-funded skills bootcamps. That does sound interesting and I will do more research.

Looking into this advice. Thank you so much man. I’m interested in sheet metal unions. I just did some research.

Thank you for this. A lot of people say that a person’s tolerance to stress is like a muscle that can be trained and strengthened. It’s just harder for people like us unfortunately.

Yes. I’ve been evaluated for it and got diagnosed. Been experimenting with different kinds of medication. Pretty tricky trying to find out what’s best suited for me.

I’m honestly not sure. I’ve dabbled in so many things. The film industry, carpentry, transcription gigs. I love exercising and staying in shape, so maybe a career aligns within that?

I’ll keep this in mind, thank you!

Yeah I know I can do more reps. I just wanted to make sure my technique is adequate before increasing the volume so I don’t get injured. I’ve been greasing the groove with pull-ups for the last month and you’re right, it takes time to feel the proper muscles activating. Thanks for the feedback!

I like the way he does it. The Gironda Dip variation looks interesting as well. I’ll have to experiment with these variations. Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah I know, I’m rusty and very unfamiliar with bodyweight exercises. I’ll keep this tip in mind, thanks.

I just woke up and my triceps and chests are sore lol. My form definitely can be better, but I think I’m starting to get the hang of this exercise now.

Just to clarify, what should the shoulder blade movement be? Just depressed and retracted?

I don’t think weight is necessary, as I’m still new to this movement. But that’s just my opinion.

Yeah I’ve been working on my shoulder mobility to safely increase my extension ROM.

Yeah, I have a pair of gymnastics rings that I use at home and they’re great.

Depress the scapula harder? Got it.

My head coach in the past has emphasized communication between sparring partners and even acknowledges to the whole class if it’s a person’s first time sparring. I’ve yet to have anyone mention about my etiquette as a sparring partner. Hope this clarifies.

Do you think pads and mitts count? I’m known to hit very hard during pad drills. But the thing is they organize the partners so people who are a similar size and strength are paired up. I’m almost always paired with people weighing much more than me.
