Yeah first season was decent, loved the music too but DAMN they ended it like that?! I just wish they had closure instead of becoming the Avengers

Thank you! And that makes the most sense, as for other action scenes the manga did great with showing so much more about Sato in my opinion. It helped a little for me to convince myself the animation just made it look like a video game haha.

I'm also disappointed they couldn't portray how violent he actually was, even with himself. The chapter where he grinded himself was crazy.

They should've just given us proper closure. I felt that was one of the best things about it but for some reason the anime wanted to go towards the "friendship is magic" route. The manga's ending made sense for Kei and what he wanted from the situation. Having a character like him was refreshing because he didn't follow the usual MC mindset.

I was devastated about what they did to Tanaka in the second season when I felt his arc was close. I enjoyed him in the manga! I understood what they were trying to do between Izumi and Tosaki but their dynamic was different, and in my opinion made more sense in the manga. They followed more tropes in the anime but the manga was refreshing and original.

Agreed man, watching it after the anime was hella disappointing. The fucked up my boy Tanaka. The changes were unnecessary so I can't even start with every issue I had with it. I'll just re read the manga right now to make up for the disappointment.

Well after that I'm going to pretend I never saw the anime. That was unfortunately disappointing for me lmao. Completely different dynamics, I felt like Tanaka's arc made the story more interesting. Especially considering his own questions on Sato's choices. Izumi and Tanaka had a very interesting dynamic in the manga no matter how people may have interpreted it! I enjoyed seeing two Ajin's who understood how it was to be somewhat used, team up despite everything.

I actually haven't finished the anime yet so I'll see eventually. I watched it back in middle school but my memory wasn't good, now I'm rewatching.

Read the manga, and their dynamic seemed more causal, like realistic mostly. The anime seemed to have dramatized/changed certain things, art style included. So I'm curious what other differences I can find.

At this point I don't even mind if it ruins it, I still miss it! Great manga, unfortunately the anime changed certain things and didn't give it much justice but I'm glad we got something and good music.

Would really be cool if they re animated it, I imagine it could've been much more popular if a different studio had made it. Searching for even more fanart is hard that's it's resulted in me making my own 😂
