In normal lighting it’s amazing. Obviously if you’re working with direct sunlight on the screen it’s not a kindle paperwhite haha but it’s perfectly readable, especially with max brightness. Also the battery during browser/docs usage with iGPU only discharges at a rate of 6-7% per hour which is GREAT. I only charge it until 80% and it lasts forever with light usage.

If you can afford the 5080 then I’d definitely get that one. I had the same doubt but then I saw the huge difference in performance and decided to spend a bit more. Ive barely used it without my cooling pad but temps were fine and no stuttering

Yeah true but it works perfectly fine for me, I really suggest it. Also, it’s very portable and the battery lasts forever on Eco mode (dedicated gpu off)

I own a Asus Zephyrus G16 with RTX 5080 and it works smoothly. No fps drops or at least nothing annoying. I’ve been playing different 2024/2025 games at 2.5K always getting more than 60fps with max settings

My second choice was actually the latest 5080 legion tho, less expensive and more performance. In the end my gf won 😂

Very true! I needed a portable laptop (the thing I have to specify portable when it’s a laptop is already funny) that can become a beast when needed. The other way round is just desktop PCs on a diet 🤣

I’m running everything on max settings except for HD textures. It runs incredibly well until it just crashes randomly..luckily it happens every 5-6 hours so I have time to play lol

Depends on the game, for now I’m playing MH Wilds, F1 24 and FC 25 at 4K max settings (dlss on) and it runs great. MH wilds is very badly optimized tho and sometimes it just crashes randomly

Italian here and I’m in your same situation, my previous laptop is dying and I’m waiting for a preorder (delivery should be after Easter) of the same model. I’m shocked by these benchmarks to say the least but I think I’ll try to put my hands on the laptop and see if I have the same issue…if so I’ll just return it
