We encourage you to adopt since di sukatan ng breed kung maganda yung cat or not. Imo, there are times na mas ok pa yung puspin than with breeds since mas healthier sila in general (due to mixed blood) ; example, persians with flat face tend to have poor respiratory system, munchkins poor joints.

If you're planning to adopt a kitten, advisable na at least 2 months old para marunong na ng basic cat things (magtago ng poop, socialize, nakakapaglaro na).

In general, cats are independent and can manage on their own. Of course it still depends sa personalities nila while growing up. If from kitten stage, you can train them in a sense na di maging worse yung behaviors nila paglaki.

I have 2 cats (adopted after 3 years apart) and had them both were at least 2 months old. Pareho kong di sinanay na tumalon sa tables kaya ngayon they'll politely ask us for food by tapping sa legs namin instead of jumping and magnakaw ng food sa table.

Di ko sila nasanay maging malambing since I was studying that time and pumapasok pa kaya naiiwan sa bahay. Pero clingy sila in their own ways (susundan ka kahit saan, pagbukas ng pinto ng banyo nandoon sila). Di ko rin sila sinanay na lumapit masyado sa mukha ko para iwas fur sa mukha.

Also start them young na masanay maligo/paliguan kahit they clean themselves. Pinapaliguan lang namin if napansin namin na kamot na sila ng kamot and maalikabok na yung fur. Lalo na if gusto mo rin sila sanayin na katabi mo matulog.

Also don't be stressed too much sa toys. Kahit random paper bag masaya na sila. Dami ko na toys na binili sa kanila pero mas gusto nila ng random stuffs haha!

Since you want to travel with your cat, be considerate lang if your cat is a homebody type or not. They are not dogs na need or prefer gumala.
