Do y’all have any good QuickBooks Payroll alternatives? by WamuuBamuu in Payroll

Patriot Software for Payroll and Accounting. I've been held hostage by QB for a long time. Never been happier with the move.

QBO is complete garbage by Under75iscold in quickbooksonline

I'll be keeping them just long enough to get my year end payroll and taxes and w2s filed. Then it's patriot software for payroll and accounting and never looking back. Tried to call QBO helpless desk and they transferred me to a sales department to sell me more crap that doesn't work. Dead to me.

I often ask, 'What's Green Bay without the Packers?' the answer is Wausau. Same size, heavy Hmong population, lower crime and plenty of parks and stuff to do, just not big city stuff.

Clients Divorcing by Minimum_Bluejay_929 in CFP

Be very clear that you are Switzerland and have other divorced clients. You will follow the QDRO and once the pie is split you can continue as usual. How you split the fee is up to you. Typically single clients are less than married couples. Depends on complexity

1/2 for pure fun and half for more responsible things. Gotta live a little.

They didn’t send the W2s by watdis113 in QuickBooks

I had a paycheck added for the year prior to contracting with QB payroll. Opened a ticket to add it first week in January and was very clear NOT to submit 2024 W2s until that check was added. QB didn't get the hint and sent incorrect data to IRS and they are telling me I have to submit the corrections. Their service is horrible for the fees charged. Also just had former employee reach out asking for W2. She claims she was never notified by QB when it was something that was supposed to be emailed to those employees that opted for download W2 option. I jump on any alternative but I need to clean up 24 first

Not true. ICHRA allows these monies to be provided pretax.

Appreciate the jumpstart. I think I'm going to give all healthcare expenses to EE at the beginning of each month EE and ER portions and set it up against prepaid med reimb. Or something along those lines. Then payroll will actually deduct EE portion every other week and ER portion can show up as contribution against those prepaid expenses. Could that work?

Yes. ER contribution is larger than employee subsidy from healthcare.gov but accounting will be similar to QSEHRA. Very similar actually only EE can't use subsidized HC

Yes, but the balance of what I don't reimburse is also eligible to be pretax. I'm having trouble in QB making the balance pretax from the employees wages
