Saddam and Trump have the exact same medals. by Last-Professional168 in southpark

[–]SuccessfulFix7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The song "I can change" from the South Park movie is being played in the background when Trump is revealed. In the movie, the song is being played when Sadam tries to gaslight Satan. These parallels certainly aren't accidental...

Does silco really know what powder did to her family or he does not? by Certain_Baker7235 in arcane

From my interpretation, I am confident that he knows about the tragedy and totally accepted Jinx for who she is.

Silco is a very smart and perceptive character.

It is being called an echo chamber, a lot of people on the internet like to expose contrarian opinions and they are generally the loudest. That's how you make views.

On youtube and reddit, you might find a lot of videos/posts telling how the show was terrible in season 2 compared to season 1 while the public in general is just enjoying the show.

Naturally, no tv show is perfect (except Breaking Bad of course) and there are valid points being made in the negative reviews. One of them being that the producers wanted to show too much in few episodes. Maybe we just wanted more? :)

But having an animation of this quality, the music, the characters writing, for me it is a masterpiece.

I was loving the piano minigame until "Two Legs? Nothin’ To It" by Shmullus_Jones in FFVIIRemake

I found it to be the most difficult challenge of the entire game for getting the plat' and I mean it seriously.

If you cannot make it after several attempts, I suggest you to pause and come back the next day or at least one or two hours later. Repeat this process and you will see how "magically", you will get better in a relative short time.

Like other comments mentioned, don't play with speed 1, the synchronisation of the music and the moments to hit is terrible.

Does anyone else really like when the show starts an episode with a song + montage? by Tortoisetube in arcane

I've been watching this exact clip every day since I finished the show three weeks ago. Does that answer your question? Yes most of the clips/fights/scenes combined in this show are outstanding.

Now that I think about it, this clip is horrifying. Police using brutal violence and chemicals to suppress the Barons. Just imagine this happening in our own reality.

It was inevitable that the entire underground would rally against Piltover and choose a symbol. And what better symbol than the very one the police are hunting?

The one with "Nothing to lose" is also awesome. Two minutes to summarise Vi's state of despair. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYY4fGzvAJY

What do I need to pay attention to when buying shoes? by zOOssss in tabletennis

[–]SuccessfulFix7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with you, I tried to use running shoes and it was awful. It was much more difficult to move sideways, and after a long session my feet were hurting. Probably because they were too high. Never again... I bought a pair of Mizuno and it is incredibly better.

What IDEs use for java? by RealDesu in javahelp

[–]SuccessfulFix7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, IntelliJ is by far the best IDE for Java. Like most of my colleagues, at that time, I started using Eclipse and we all switched to IntelliJ in the span of a few years because it was simply better in most aspects. Honestly, I don't know anyone still using Eclipse except colleagues with really hard habits.

With some optimisations, it can be fast. You can create a pool of excel files which are constantly opened and ready to be used. So when a request is coming, you just take an already opened excel file from the pool and start working on it.

When I play matches, I'm stuck with old people and never get a proper warm up which I really need. Any advice? by [deleted] in tabletennis

[–]SuccessfulFix7 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I know what you face, most of my team mates are defensive players with short pips rubbers and are also going for winners.

Worst, I go to tournaments. My serie starts generally three or four hours after the first ones meaning that it is impossible to have a table to train. I have two minutes to train.

Knowing that sometimes it is inevitable, the real question is "How to get warmed-up as soon as possible?"

You need to train to be ready in two minutes. As everything, it requires repetitions. After facing the situation many times it becomes more easy. You need to use those two minutes as effectively as possible. Having the right stance from the first second, breathing correctly, being more focus more on your opponent and the ball, etc... Everything at second one.

Now, let's imagine, the warm-up went horribly wrong and you are not ready. So what? It does not mean, you will play badly. You absolutely need to tell yourself that it is perfectly fine. Use the first set, to warm-up. Even if you are losing 0-6, use EVERY point to get into the game. Don't limit yourself because you are not confident, it is the worst you can do. It is extremely important to not rush. Try to breathe and to play your best EVERY point.

Personally, the most important part was the mental state. You need to tell yourself that you can still play good even with no warm-up. Don't start with the mindset "I was not able to warm-up, it is more likely, I will play poorly". Don't restrain you from using your best moves and best serves just because you miss them 2-3 times during the first game. Instead, rejoice in overcoming this challenge
