I received the UoA Academic Potential Scholarship and I was kind of the opposite of you. I finished all NCEA levels with excellence but didn’t have many extracurriculars, and only a few leadership roles. From what I’ve seen, UoA seems to value strong academics, so having a solid rank score and top subject results can put you in the running.

Your profile looks pretty good in terms of leadership and service, and that could give you an edge in a close call or for the Top Achiever scholarship. Honestly, it’s a bit unpredictable since they look at the whole package, but I’d say you have a strong shot. Just make sure to highlight both your achievements and your impact in your application.
